Can you tell? Cluster Bomb or Food Ration?

by anarchists for black congressional caucus
The brave and radical black congressional caucus strikes again.. Rep Cynthia McKinney showed the House a cluster bomb and a food ration dropped by U.S. planes on Afghanistan. Can you tell the difference? Another sick scam by Herr Rumsfeld?

You may remember Cynthia McKinney from when she introduced evidence of COINTELPRO at the World Conference Against Racism, as the U.S. government was withdrawing from the conference. See:

The cylinder one is a cluster bomb. The rectangular one that was both made smaller, and had no markings/labels for this demonstration is the food packet.

I've lived in Afghanistan long enough to know not to pick anything up off the ground that is metal and looks like a freakin' landmine.

Besides, I let the Taliban pick up the food packets for me, because they much prefer that I purchase it from them directly for a fee-- so no danger to me!

AfghanKid, yer right! I know --- there *must* be some terrorists hiding out in Marin. If we just drop a bunch of cluster bombs on Marin, then the terrorists will be blown up and we can live in peace again! We'll just assume that any children living in Marin (who are, incidentally, extremely well fed) won't wander near any cluster bombs.

I don't think so... but if there were terrorist in Marin, I bet the FBI would bring them to justice...no bombing necessary.

However, if the FBI were to acknowlege to the world that terrorists were in fact hiding in Marin as our "GUESTS", and that they would do nothing to bring them to justice-- then I most certainly would advocate bombing terrorist targets in Marin.

NEXT!

No, we wouldn't be "bombing terrorist targets" in Marin. We would be dropped cluster bombs which could potentially go unexploded. I mean, there will definitely be plenty of civilians in Marin who are good Americans who will be killed by our strikes, but it is worth it. Then we will move on to the city where tim mcveigh was from. And bomb that. No problem, right? I mean, heck, considering that US terrorists have attacked Islamic countries, maybe they were justifying in killing our civilians? This is all so confusing. Maybe we should just straighten out who the terrorists really are.

I highly doubt the elected officials in Marin, or any other city/county/state in the U.S. would harbor an known terrorist (feel free to contradict me with some obscure, totally non-related and conspiracy-laden example..), hence it would not require bombing...

If the Taliban had handed Bin Laden over, we wouldn't be there bombing, and they very likely would have gotten a nice little reward package too... Carrot or the stick - not always nice, not always fair - but it's the way it IS.

isn't bohemian grove close to marin?

as reuters is fond of saying, one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter.

if you cannot stomach the idea of marin being bombed, but you can get along fine with the idea of afghanistan being bombed, that's nationalist racism at its worst.

and, i believe this conversation is about innocent people and cluster bombs. just to keep perspective.

The best source for learning about the case of Bari v. FBI are the following: The Anderson Valley Advertiser (weekly newspaper), 12451 Anderson Valley Way, Boonville, CA 95415; telephone 707 895 3016. The following websites should also be examined for their research in this case: <http://www.sonomacountyfreepress.org>,<http://www.flatlandbooks.com>,<http://www.counterpunch.org>,<http://www.efmedia.org>.

In reply to Nessie. The number one suspect in the Bari/Cherney bombing is Bari's exhusband Mike Sweeney, not the FBI. The relationship between Bari and Sweeney was hostile and violent on both sides. In 1989 Bari tried to set up a hit on Sweeney - a solicitation which later backfired on her big time. The article by Ed Gehrman which appeared in Flatland magazine,#16 is the definitive article to date on this matter. Gehrman's article can be viewed at <http://www.flatlandbooks.com>.

Ive seen your posts about the Bari case on here. I say keep it up! The one thing ive noticed about the people who claim it was the FBI/ Big Timber is that they can't honestly reply to the evidence that it may have been her ex-husband which in my opinion points in his direction the most. Im starting to believe that people like Daryl Cherney and Alicia Littletree (who both post on here) are trying to cash in on this and not get to the truth.

I have heard reports recently of trouble in the inner circle of the Cherney - Bari team. In the East Bay comes word of a verbally violent attack by Noel Hanrahan on Redwood Summer Justice's Alicia Bales (whose stagename is Alicia Littletree) at a public function. Are these turf wars or just disagreements over how to divvy up the expected 20 million dollar judgement that the true believers have been anticipating oh these past 10 years as the poorly designed and inadequate lawsuit has wended its way through the courtroom of first Judge Eugene Lynch and more recently before magistrate Claudia Wilken, a Clinton appointee I believe, who has given the Bari legal team almost everything it has every asked for (including the almost unheard of privilege of allowing the Plantiff's:Bari and Cherney to have eight Amended versions of the suit. But the plantiffs have been long on rhetoric both in and out of the courtroom while not producing anything to show as real evidence. The pressure cooker atmosphere as the April 8, 2002 deadline approaches must be tremendous. If and when the case is finally lost or dismissed the infighting will probably intensify.

This is a touchy world issue. The bombs are effective yet they are often mistaken for playthings or food packets by children. So in short its probably a good idea to stop using them.

However, all this anti FBI sentiment and anti-anythin sentiment is kind of silly. If we just got rid of them the country would be in trouble, as they are basically uber detectives.

I'm quite saddened that I've lost an ally in the US government. My friends, Osama, Mullah Omar, Yasser, Idi, among others share my sentiments. Now that Cynthia is no longer living off the taxpayers money, she is welcome in Phnom Pen. If I weren't dead, I'd join her there.
