Benefit Dance Party/Concert for East Bay Food Not Bombs featuring live music by the Funky Nixons and the Wild Buds: WEST COAST MARDI GRAS BAND. Also East Bay Food Not Bombs Re-union & Living History Night. Anyone that has ever served or eaten the food of East Bay Food Not Bombs is encouraged to bring their pictures and stories to this celebration of the harvest of food for all, not the harvest of bombs. Cost: $5 – suggested donation for the music & the hall (no one will be turned away for lack of funds). The food, as always, is free. Who Should Attend: Open to the Public (all ages venue) When/Where: Friday, October 18th; doors open at 6:00pm The Fellowship of Humanity Hall (amazing historic building with large dance floor and grounds) 411 – 28th Street, Oakland (between Telegraph & Broadway – at that point there are only 2 blocks between Telegraph & Broadway but 28th doesn’t go through to Broadway) Accessibility: Convenient public transportation in the form of busses on Telegraph and Broadway. The Hall is wheelchair accessible. About EBFNB: Serves free full hot vegetarian meals six days a week at 2:30pm: Monday-Friday in People’s Park, Berkeley and Sundays in front of the Sutter Hotel (at 14th St. & Jefferson) in downtown Oakland. Also provides food and solidarity for many peace and justice events and demonstrations. Now more than ever, we need food and not bombs.
