I`d like to express my sorrow for the killed demonstrator and my full solidarity to all actions against the police in Genua, even if they are violent.
i feel ashamed of not being with you in this struggle.

ok, believe me, i'm with the protestors in genoa, i fully support the causes. the state is obviously showing that it's predicated on violence and repression of dissent.

but why is it that most of the same people protesting in seattle/la/dc and in support of the huge mass protests are generally ignorant, or only vaguely aware of, the *daily* violence at the hands of the state in communities of color?

we need mass protests AND reflection upon white supremacy and racism, overt and otherwise, we need convergence centers AND people willing to learn to communicate on deeper personal levels to overcome ingrained racism/sexism/homophobia.

just some thoughts...
