Dock Closed! Join Oakland Picket NOW!

If we can keep the dock closed until 3:00 AM - or so - the ship will be forced to leave!
The dock-workers are on stand-by - which means – if we can keep a good sized picket going they won’t cross the line and the ship won’t get unloaded.
Some friendly ILWU workers (getting paid while on stand-by) informed us that if we can hold the line until the end of the shift (Early tomorrow morning) the ship won’t get unloaded at all – someone doesn’t want to pay the ILWU workers time and a half for the ship to get unloaded Saturday.
So we already have a small victory.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If we can hold the line until early tomorrow morning it will be a MAJOR VICTORY!
When I left to post this – around 10:15 PM there were still around 30 people. We need to keep up the numbers.
PLEASE HELP HOLD THE LINE.

Directions:
Howard Terminal, Berth 68 in Oakland is at the foot of Market Street at
3rd - about a half mile north of Jack London Square.

By BART - exit at 12th Street in Oakland. Either walk down Broadway
(west),
then right (north) on 3rd to Market, then turn left to Embarcadero, or
take
the bus to Jack London Square and walk over from there.

FROM THE BAY BRIDGE: stay to the far right lanes coming off the bridge.
Take the exit to I-80 South to San Jose and exit immediately onto Grand
Avenue. Turn right onto Grand and right again at Market. Take Market to
Embarcadero.

FROM I-980: Take I-980 to the 12th St. exit. Continue straight ahead to
3rd
St. Turn right onto 3rd and left at Market. Take Market to Embarcadero.
