Jewish Group Protests on Anniversary of Al Nakba in Solidarity with Palestinians

Under the banner, "No More Money to Israel's Racist Aparteid State," Jews for a Free Palestine demonstrated in front of the Four Seasons Hotel at 765 Market St. in San Francisco. Inside the Four Seasons, hundreds of major donors to the Jewish Community Federation were gathering to celebrate their campaign to raise $30 million in support for Zionism and the exclusionary state of Israel. Approximately 50-75 demonstrated outside the hotel while 13-14 people participated in a lockdown inside. May 15th is the anniversary of Al Nakba, "the mass deportation of nearly a million Palestinians from their homes, massacres of civilians, and the destruction of hundreds of Palestinian villages in 1948."
