Our Grief is Not a Cry for War, Justin Herman Plaza SF, 9-11
1,500 people gathered at Justin Herman Plaza today to commemorate the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001, and to envision a world free of war and violence. Program included Holly Near, Michael Franti, Ram Dass, and concluded with a mass Pledge of Resistance. "Not in Our Name" will we let this government use this tragedy to further its agenda of war without end, detentions and round-ups, and police state restrictions.
