The Student Activist League of Sonoma SALs, on September 11, 2002 at Sonoma State University sent a Plea for Peace, to their fellow students at the conclusion of the moment of silence at held at noon. SALs feel that our fellow Americans should not just look at the devastation that has occurred in the US, but to look what our government is doing in our name, death does not justify more death. In order to send their message to the students of SSU, SALs using their First Amendment right, set up art displays in two different locations, which included a list of civilian deaths that has occurred due to the US sponsored, was on terror. The students and Faculty of SSU received the display quite well and they seemed to walk away a little more educated. Thank You SALs for trying to get the word out and make a difference.
