Hardline Right-Wing Zionist is appointed to be US MidEast Chief

by Concerned about the future
One look at the picture of Elliott Abrams in today's Chronicle and you can see he qualifies as what is commonly known as a "rabid zionist", out to get anyone who doesn't support the idea of a Jewish supremacist state in Israel, and if he has his way, America will also be a Jewish supremacist state. He is against intermarraige between Jews and non-Jews, for instance, and advocates Jews to infiltrate Christian churches to propagandize and build alliances.
Elliott Abrams is indeed a very strange choice for Bush to make as the head of the Middle Eastern affairs, guiding US policy. If Bush really wants peace in the Middle East, it's painfully obvious that he does not have in mind a just peace, a point that is hammered in day after day that he allows Sharon to demolish Palestinians' homes and kill them with impunity.

Elliot plead guilty in 1987 to the charge that he withheld information from Congress on the Reagan adminstration's efforts to assist anti-government guerillas in Nicaragua, and he was later pardoned by Bush, Sr.

What I also found interesting is that he wrote a book entitiled "Faith or Fear: How Jews Can Survive in Christian America", in which he argues against the loss of religious faith (keeping in mind that as many as 50% of Jews are atheistic or agnostic, and are only faithful to the tribe of Jewish people) among Jews and criticizes intermarraige as a dangter to their survival in America. Sounds just like what other racist groups would say, such as White Supremacists. He also urges Jews "to make greater cause with evangelistical Christians in rallying support for Israel." They don't stop with just evangelistical Chrisitans. I have witnessed the infiltration and propagandizing of Zionist Jews in the Catholic Church here in the Bay Area! In an Oakland Catholic church I attened last year at both Christmas and Easter, the priest made a big to do about welcoming Jews to the parish, and everyone even had to clap! The sermon at Christmas, when Palestinians were under seige in Bethlehem, also included several glowing references to with Jews, and the sermon at Easter was a complete outrage to me! The priest devoted the entire sermon to the Jewish holiday of the Seder! If I wanted to hear about the Jewish holidays, I would have gone to a synogogue or a lecture! The last thing I wanted to hear about was a one-sided, biased peaon to the Jewish religion, at a time when Zionist Jews were committing genocide in Jenin! Two Jewish people who were in front of me were laughing so hard that a person in front of them turned around and asked them to leave if they couldn't control themselves! I think they were laughing so hard because they had been so successful in buying off the priest! When leaving the church, I asked the priest why he had not mentioned our Muslim Arab friends who had just put a peace proposal on the table that was all but ignored by everyone? Why was he so biased on the Jewish side of things? Why had he not invited Muslims to our church to share in peaceful communion? Why had he not mentioned the plight of the Palestinians and the need for a just peace? His mouth dropped to the ground. Later I sent him a letter asking how much money did the Jews pay him? I never got a response. After the mass, I had stopped some people to ask him what they thought of the priest spending the entire sermon on Jewish concerns, and they were puzzled but said that they had heard that alot of Jews had "joined" the church.

Obviously, they didn't join to convert. They joined to propagandize.

If you see your priest or minister "buying into" this kind of shameful bias, neglecting justice for a true peace, I urge you to say something to him or her. Point it out.
