Boycott Sponsors Of Rush Limbaugh

Tell Rush Sponsors you've had ENOUGH disinformation and hate!
Take ACTION!

Tell Rush Sponsors you've had ENOUGH disinformation and hate!

In direct opposition to the growing anti-war movement, Rush Limbaugh has stepped up his trademark misinformation and out-right lies in an attempt to hijack the public's perception of Americas increasing militarism. There is therefore, an urgent need for people of conscience to strongly oppose the spreading of fear and bloodlust to the minds of millions of Americans on a daily basis.

By contacting and boycotting his advertisers, we can make it known to the likes of Rush Limbaugh, that those who advocate the sacrifice of innocent lives for the benefit of a wealthy few, will not go unchallenged.

----

Limbaugh's advertisers are listed below.
Please contact them by phone, mail or email to express your outrage at Limbaugh's warmongering.

Then boycott any products or services sold by his advertisers and pass the message on.

Please explain IN DETAIL the trademark misinformation and out-right lies. Any one specific point would be interesting to analyze you point of view
by Art Lopez (art_lopez [at] netzero.net)
I don't know about lies & misinformation, but I do know we can attack him for being a Howard Stern clone. Of course, his lie is that he went on air without listening to Howard.
And he's doing a poor imitation of Howard. I used to listen to Rush, until I found out the REAL origin of talk radio, which is Howard, of course.
by Bill
You liberals never seize to amaze. Rock on! 30 million listeners. Free speech is a wonderful thing isn't it? :)
by WHOCARES
I don't care what Rush says about anything. His opinion doesn't count any more than the next guy with diarrhea of the mouth. Talking on the radio is easy - you do it sitting down and you just run off at the mouth. It solves no problems; you have no authority; you are taking no responsibility; there is no work product; nothing is better for having done it. It's easy to sit back and pick at the guys who are at the broken end of the bottle trying, however well or misguided, to fix things. Get off your fat can, Rush, and actually put it on the line trying to fix something if you think the solutions are so damned obvious. You think it's easy trying to get something done in this country? You try it, moron. Our elected leaders may be stupid jerks, but at least they put their butts on the line. Talking is the chicken way out - it's a free ride. Anybody can criticize everything. Rush would know this if he had ever tried to build something, instead of wrecking it. Get a real job. Contribute, you fat slob. Talk doesn't count for squat.
by TOASTED
Take out Rush L.'s name and fill in the blank withany of hundreds of talk-show idiots all over the country.
by x
targeting Rush is a good idea -- and he's a fat target, hard to miss ;-)

the truth that he's just one of many is cited only to trivialize.

any and all injustice should be challenged, regardless of how small, or how large

the trolls are out in force on SF Indy now....
by bov
Yes, troll heaven lately, which means we're taking up their time and annoying them - excellent work. As long as we contain ourselves to one or two targetted lines, it can keep them busy.

Organization is key on issues like this boycott. Targetting Rush is great because all know what an idiot he is. It's good that you put those addresses up. But how to motivate people to actually do anything?

My suggestion? If you really feel strongly, get two or three people together with some signs, make a million postcards that people can sign and put their address on, wade into the masses on Jan 18th, and then mail them yourselves. Everyone will sign, you can ask for small donations for stamps. Give handouts with your info. It would be a quick way to get tons of a response all at once. Stamps, time, etc., are the main impediment, and finding friends who also feel strongly enough to do it.

" Tell Rush Sponsors you've had ENOUGH disinformation and hate! "

You want people to say they hate "hate". Their hate, not your hate. Great, just what we need.... [sigh]

Is Indymedia being used as a right-wing shell to make us liberals look loony? Or do we really have authentic intolerant assholes like this in our midst?

Listen up, bud: the best antidote to free speech is better speech. I don't listen to Limbaugh, but I'll be damned if I'll try to censor him just because I don't like his comments. If you've got something better to say, then say it!
by x
Right wing ploy my ass

One should never call for censorship of any kind. But economic pressure to affect accountability? That's different.

Roll over, oh sanctimonious one, as the media is 98% influenced by big business, not truth telling (regardless of political slant of truth)
by bov
Saddam's doing a great job making Bush look like an idiot. Haven't you noticed?
by C.Campbell
Lefty's and Righty's give Rush far too much credit. Protest, boycott do what you want if it makes you feel better. I like Bush as a person, so after eight years of Clinton at least its a change. Not for the better just in personality. Clinton with his arrested adolescence and arrogance really just got to be too comical.
by Bob Ellis
Rush and others like him have severely devided our great Nation. You know what they say - United we stand - devided we fall. Rush must go.
by Sally
The fact is that money talks. All you misguided creatures who think Rush is great can spew forth all the garbage you want, just as he does. BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS MONEY. And if he loses his advertisers, he it out. I'm doing my best to see that he does. He is a vicious, hate-monger and a gutless, much-married liar.
by ms. Liberty (msliberty123 [at] hotmail.com)
I can remember when the NAZI Limbaugh demanded that white male christians shoot wemyn, gays and minorities in the street, burn down their homes and hang their mutilated bodies from trees.

The PIG has repeatedly stated he won't be satisfied until his hobnailed jackboot is on the neck of all wemyn throughout the world.

HANDS OFF MY ABORTION RIGHTS!!! END GUN VIOLENCE!!! SMASH ECO-TERRORISM!!!

Limbaugh is a rabid, running dog psychopath!!
by glassapple
I believe that Limbaugh has every right to be stupid and I will support his and any other person's right to be stupid. However, is it possible that he has abused this privilege for far too long?
by Irving
The reason America is divided is because of what the Left has become - insane. Just read the idiotic comments of 'ms. Liberty. It's horseshit, absolute horseshit, and I dare it to provide transcripts. Surely after all these years of crying out to crush the eco-terrorist lesbians under his heels, someone would have had the sense to monitor him and save all the tapes.
by just wondering
Were these comments were posted by the same person?
by Irving
How many names does Nessie use? "just wondering" is well known to all it's nessie.

So what's your point?
by Irving
If I understand correctly, someone who posts with different names asks if someone else is using two names, and then it says I'm changing the subject???

Allow me to be the debate coach here-I say you're using changing the subject to deflect the recognition that you use so many different names, which any regular around here knows. "debate coach" is also nessie, we all know that.
by Patriot
1. Thanks for listing Rush Limbaugh's sponsors. I will patronize as many as possible.

2. Talk radio started with Howard Stern?? What planet do you live on, Art?

3. "The PIG [Limbaugh] has repeatedly stated he won't be satisfied until his hobnailed jackboot is on the neck of all wemyn throughout the world. " ROTFLMAO. You people get a little loonier everytime I come in here.

4. "Anybody can criticize everything. Rush would know this if he had ever tried to build something, instead of wrecking it. Get a real job. Contribute, you fat slob. Talk doesn't count for squat." Actually, Limbaugh has contrtibuted a great deal to society, by informing millions of listeners of facts not widely known (thanks to the stonewalling by the accomplices of the political powers, aka the major media, until his advent), and by mobilizing conservatives to act in the best interests of our nation. And, no, it's not easy to succeed in the radio business. (How many stations carry YOUR talk show? And what have YOUR comments contributed to society?)

Have a nice day!

by no, I'm not
The subject is Rush Limbaugh, not me,
