Jan 18: Join the Green Bloc!

by bov-repost
And try not to practice so much decentralization this time . . .

I'm guessing the Green Bloc may not be in the breakaway march . . . if only because of the general dispersion of members as the event progresses . . . but you never know.

Green Party Action Alert
ANTI-WAR PROTEST JANUARY 18 IN S.F.

CALLING ALL GREENS TO MARCH TOGETHER ON JANUARY 18 IN SAN FRANCISCO AT THE BIG ANTI-WAR RALLY AND MARCH! HOPE YOU ALL WILL JOIN US!

The Anti-War Protest in San Francisco is just 5 days away. Here's the schedule for the Green Party Mobilization.

January 18, 2003

10am: GATHER NEXT TO THE HYATT AT JUSTIN HERMAN PLAZA. LOOK FOR THE GREEN FLAGS AND BANNERS. We need lots of volunteers to help distribute our "peace flags." PLEASE GET THERE EARLY. By ten would be best...It's going to get really crowded by 11am and you might not be able to get through the crowd to the meeting place.(Embarcadero BART Stop)

11am - 1pm: FORM OUR GREEN BLOC ON MARKET STREET AND MARCH TO THE CIVIC CENTER PLAZA! WEAR GREEN! We'll need more volunteers to be March Monitors so we can stay together and show our numbers. Get your voices ready for some loud and energetic chanting! Bring signs!

We'll have lots of Peace Flags too! There's a Rally at the 11 am and the March begins around Noon.

1pm - 3pm RALLY AT CIVIC CENTER PLAZA AND GREEN PARTY TABLE! We'll have at least one Green Party Speaker at the rally and the S.F. Greens will have a Green Party Literature and Merchandise Table near
the entrance. (Grove and Larkin)

Please let me know:

If you can Volunteer to distribute the Peace Flags and collect donations for the flags (need to be there by 10am)
If you can be a March Monitor (ditto, 10 am)
If you know how many Greens are coming from your area (chance to brag! ;)
If you know your local would like a certain number of flags to take home (a pre-order of sorts- donation requested)
If you can take digital photos of Greens marching and rallying
If you need more information or have questions or good ideas
