Pictures of Sacramento Protest!

Sacramento Peace and Justice groups hosted a regional Anti-war protest and Peace Rally today at the state Capitol. Organizers estimate close to 10,000 people were there by the middle of the afternoon.

The march part of the protest began at noon, when groups from the four directions marched peacefully, on the sidewalks, to the Capitol.

The Rally on the west Capitol Steps went from 1-4pm. There were speakers from the sponsoring organizations and a diverse group of musicians and poets performed. The rally ended with a Peace Circle where everyone held hands around the Captiol.
