Anti-war demonstration
Photographs of the Anti-war demonstration in San Francisco, taken today, 3/15/03, several close-ups of Martin Sheen, (three real good ones). Plenty photos of both crowd and individuals, my best work yet, enjoy.
Arrived just before one pm in the Civic Center, the march had just started moving up the street. No idea as to how many people where there, less than last time, but still a substantial number of demonstrators. Of all things, I almost bumped into Martin Sheen as he was making his way to the park to speak. Took several photos of him, three are really good (least, I think so). Used a flash for fill in some of the photos in way of try something new, (a friend donated it for my work). People were happy, the weather was great, everyone very animated about the event. I left around 4, headed back to Bart, the breakaway protest had started, police lined Market and Powell. Last I saw, breakaway demonstrators suddenly started to run and turned off Market. This caught police by surprise. Didn’t stick around this time, decided to call it a day.
