VIDEO: Rachel Corrie on film. Her parents release a statement and a letter from Rachel

by Democracy Now
March 17, 2003
Important things to note. This was not a war zone as Israel's supporters portray it. It was a Palestinian neighborhood. The question is not what was Rachel doing in a Palestinian neighborhood. The question is what is an Israeli bulldozer doing in a defenseless Palestinian neighborhood.

Listen to the letter that Rachel Corrie sent her parents. It describes a world in which Israeli soldiers and settlers have been literally *terrorizing* Palestinian civilians non-stop, day and night. This is what she was over there to stop. This is what the UN was designed to stop but because the US government has blocked it from fulfilling its role, the ISM has become Palestinians' only protection.
