Poodle Out to Pasture, Sharon Sallies Forth

by Michael (SFDestiny [at] yahoo.com)
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has sent his chief aide, Dov Weisglass, to Washington for talks this week on Israel's proposed changes to the peace plan, which aims to end the conflict and create a Palestinian state in three years. http://www.webactive.com/pacifica/demnow/dn20030414.html

I think I've seen this one before.
The best, and most American, way to win an argument is to coopt the opposition -- and lose.

Bush's British poodle Blair remains a shining example. "Blair: undoubtedly ... another vote." "Blair urges UN role...." "Blair on finding common ground."

Well, hold onto your heels, Tony. Ariel's on the way!

The Sharon regime occupying Palestine is positioning itself as a nagging voice from the back seat as US myopicly navigates road map to power. Give me a break.

"Stop, please! Oh, George, I don't want to say 'yes' but you're so strong and persuasive!"

I'm not worried, though. Tony Blair has already laid down his voice for the upcoming Simpson's British Tourism plugola. I only hope Blair's Fox network caricature will be as enthusiastic and nuanced as his George Michael video visage.
