Aftermath- Fills the Herbst Theatre!

by Carol Brouillet (cbrouillet [at] igc.org)
The new investigative documentary- Aftermath- Unanswered Questions from 9-11 by Guerrilla News Network filled the the Herbst Theatre, hundreds had to be turned away. Of the thousand people polled in the audience, more than half felt that "Bush knew" or was "complicite" in 9-11 after seeing the film.
Three hundred people waited in line outside the Herbst Theatre last night, when the last seat was sold. An enthusiastic audience gave a standing ovation to the Sundance Award winning- Guerrilla News Network who presented two short documentaries and Aftermath- Unanswered Questions from 9-11. The applause extended to voices in the film- Michael Ruppert, Peter Dale Scott, Riva Enteen, who spoke briefly before the panel opened to questions. Moderating the panel was Barrie Zwicker, producer of The Great Deception, the pathbreaking documentary which challenged the official 9-11 narrative over a year ago. Barrie began by questioning the audience-
“Who believed that elements of the U.S. government, not just knew , but actively participated in the highjackings of 9-11 , were in a word complicite?”
More than 75% of the audience raised their hands.
His third question-
“How many believe, to condense the situation into two words, “Bush knew”?
50% of the audience raised their hands.

Some of the key questions about 9/11 raised in the film:
What did the Bush Administration know and when?
Why wasn¹t the US military able to intercept the hijacked planes?
How did the administration respond to the failures of the military and Intelligence agencies on 9/11?
What ties, if any, did the US government and Intelligence agencies have with the terrorists or their supporters?
Were there plans for a war in central Asia prior to September 11?
Is there any historical evidence to suggest that the government may have used the 9/11 attacks to justify its war in Central Asia?
How has the government¹s reaction to the terrorist attacks affected the rule of law in the United States?
How has recent legislation like the PATRIOT ACT and the Homeland Security bill affected the lives of American people?
What can we do?

Tonight Aftermath will be shown again, this time at Spangenberg Theatre in Palo Alto and since today is Earth Day, April 22, Richard Heinberg, author of The Party’s Over: Oil, War and the Fate of Industrial Societies will be joining the panel to address the stark truths and choices facing humanity at this critical juncture in human history.

Michael Ruppert has lectured extensively on 9-11; he is currently finishing a book on the topic entitled Crossing the Rubicon. Peter Dale Scott’s latest work: Drugs, Oil, and War: the United States in Afghanistan, Colombia, and Indochina, was published March 28th. Riva Enteen, has been on the forefront defending the attacks upon civil rights in this country.

There will be a reception at 5:30 p.m. preceding the 7:30 p.m. screening. Spangenberg Theatre is located at Gunn High School, 780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto. Advance tickets suggested through City Box Office (415)392-4400. ($25-with reception, $10 regular, $7 for seniors and students)
