San Francisco Protest In Solidarity With Palestinian Prisoners
A group of protesters gathered at Powell and Market on Sunday August 29th in the early afternoon to stand in solidarity with prisoners in Palestine. About a dozen pro-Israel counter-protesters were also there.
People of conscience in the Bay Area and around the world are joining in a 48-hour fast in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Israeli jails, and their families. The fast will began Saturday August 28 at 7 am and will last until 7 am Monday August 30th.
-Over 7500 Palestinian men, women and children are currently being held in Israeli prisons
-The prisoners are denied basic rights guaranteed to them under international law. Many are turtured.
