Black History, Uhuru Movement Style With Omali Yeshitela

by Wendy Snyder (uhurureparations [at] yahoo.com)
Come hear the greatest black leader since the 1960's,
Omali Yeshitela, founder of the Uhuru Movement and the
African Socialist International (ASI). Yeshitela was
the keynote speaker at the Pan Africanist Congress of
Azania Youth Organization in South African and has
been on tour worldwide to build the ASI.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH, 7 TO 9PM
"Stop Martial Law in Oakland and for the African
Community Everywhere!"
Uhuru House, 7911 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland
Instead of supporting economic development for East
and West Oakland, the mayor and city council have
bolstered police containment as a way to make the city
attractive to white people and corporations and
implemented a curfew for people on parole. Join the
movement to stop the undemocratic attacks on the
African community and support self-determination and
justice for African people.

With Omali Yeshitela, founder of the Uhuru Movement
and internationally loved leader who led over 15 years
of struggle in the city of Oakland against the war on
the African community. Call (510) 569-9620 for more
info.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH, 7 TO 9PM
"Africa and a Vision for the Future,"
a fundraising event for the Uhuru Movement and the
African Socialist International (ASI),
Fellowship of Humanity, 390 - 27th St., Oakland

The ASI is the living embodiment of black history and
the worldwide movement of African people for freedom
right now! Africa's rich resources are controlled by
U.S. and European interests, while African people suffer. It's
in white peoples' interest to support a free Africa!

Also with Penny Hess, Chairwoman of the African
People's Solidarity Committee and author of
Overturning the Culture of Violence.
$5 to 25 sliding scale. Call (510) 625-1106 or email
uhurureparations [at] yahoo.com for more info.
