Tell SF Bd of Supes We Support Medical Marijuana Everywhere

by San Francisco Voter
March 29, 2005, Item heard at 5 p.m.City Hall, San Francisco. Green Party Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi is sponsoring a reactionary moratorium on pot clubs which must be protested immediately and loudly. We will not go back to the fascist 50s; we voted 78% for Prop 215; we must continue to provide leadership by encouraging pot clubs everywhere and by supporting legislation to legalize all drugs as exists in most countries, thus getting all drugs off the street and eliminating the prison-industrial complex.

If you find it incredible that a Green Party member would be so backward, take a look at the March 29, 2005 Board Agenda, at Item 35 on the Agenda at:
http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/bdsupvrs/bosagendas/a032905.htm

This is also on the agenda as Item 29, sponsored by Supervisors Mirkarimi, Alioto-Pier, Maxwell, Peskin, McGoldrick, Elsbernd, Ammiano, Ma, Dufty and as Item 28.

This is the second time Mirkarimi has taken a reactionary position; the first being the promotion of a Catholic Church, St. Brigid's, as an historic landmark. As far as I am concerned, the promotion of these two items is sufficient grounds to never vote for Mirkarimi as he is just as reactionary as the Democrats.

Meanwhile, PROTEST NOW by phone as they all have voice mail, as well as Email and US mail. The US mail address is Board of Supevisors, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton Goodlett, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Anyone who supports medical marijuana being sold everywhere, including in welfare hotels, and anyone who supports legalization of all drugs and eliminating the prison-industrial complex, should call, Email or write TODAY.
