4/15 CHP-SF Police Helicopter Terrorizes Mission & Bayview

by San Francisco Voter
The San Francisco Police and California Highway Patrol proudly announced that they used a helicopter and at least 25 people to arrest 7 people for drunk driving (4 arrests) and a convicted felon for possessing a bullet proof vest as they terrorized the workingclass communities of the Mission and Bayview districts of San Francisco on April 15, 2005 in Operation Impact.

This is an outrageous waste of our tax dollars and of oil and is absolutely ludicrous for the intended effort to apprehend 7 people, mostly for drunk driving! The police also issued 40 citations. There is absolutely no need for a helicopter for any of this.

It is glaringly obvious that the biggest gang is the police, aided by the Board of Supervisors. Instead of cutting social services, they should cut the police department budget to zero and give all that money wasted on the police to social services. Keep in mind each of the 2200 police receives at least $80,000 a year plus benefits. Many receive much more than $80,000 a year in salary. They are all not worth two cents.

Call the Board of Supervisors and complain to all 11 of them at:
