Mattole and Iraq: Victims of the Same Corps

by AAG-SF (info [at] mashriq.org)
interesting connection between the same business interests that profit from the war on Iraq and environmental degradation in the Mattole
Charles Hurwitz, the corporate raider that is respponsible for the clear cutting going on in the Mattole has a good connection with the Bush Team, see article http://www.indybay.org/display.php?id=102459, through fellow Maxxam Board member, Robert J. Cruikshank. Mr. Cruikshank also sits on the Board of Texas Biotechnology with Frank Carlucci who heads up George H.W. Bush's Carlyle group. Coincidentally Cruikshank is also responsible for decisions made at James Bakers, who also is a leader at the Carlyle Group and former Sec. of State under Bush, at Reliant Energy. Reliant is held in contempt of the California Senate for price gouging in the energy sector. The Carlyle Group is one of the corporations that directly benefits from an ongoing conflict in Iraq. Is it any surprise that each of the major issues affecting California can be traced back to a group of interrelated parties, namely the Bush Team?

Do something about it:
the Autonomous Affinity Group is planning actions to confront the common threat to California, Iraq and the Poor of the World.

Meeting every monday at 6:30pm at 294016th St, San Francisco's Mission District in Room 216
