HUG A LOGGER

by Ellen (---------)
Hug a Logger!
Hug a logger! Cut down a ruling class elite, rather than trees. The old trees are inefficient anyway. Planting new trees works, the loggers do this anyway, the best environmentalist there is. Hitler hated people too, and loved animals! Hug a logger! Ted Turner (another ruling class elite) calls us (I'm sure logger is included since they are the working class) - he calls us "useless eaters." I bet he hugs trees too and love animals, just like Hitler did.
And misleading facts. But the logic first.

"Hitler loved animals"
So...? Is that any reason not to love animals? Do you propose avoiding EVERYTHING hitler did or approved of? Hitler believed in wiping his ass and washing his hands after taking a crap. So I guess you don't.

"Hug a logger" (ie: instead of an animal?)
Gee, I though loggers WERE animals. Not a single "tin woodman" among them. Certainly they aren't plants, not minerals, etc.

Misleading facts? Well it's really too much detail about the growth of trees, the relative value of timber, and interest rates. But I'm sure Ellen knows why I'm calling her on that "inefficient old growth". Ellen, if you don't know what I'm talking about, if you believe that crap about "inefficient old stands" contact me "offline" and I'll try to explain why a bunch of young trees growing very fast (say 8%) but on a base of 5K board feet per acre does NOT produce more timber than an old stand, slower growing (say 4%) but on a standing base of 60K board feet per acre. Why if "real" (ie: adjusted for inflation) long term interest rates fell to 2-3% you would see a big change in forest management practices.
