"911:The Tower and the Mirror"
While the events of September 11 have been used to frighten the american public and images of destruction have been played over and over again - seldom are we shown other perspectives as we head unquestioningly into war. Tonight's video screening (with videos from Indymedia centers in New York and San Francisco, Whispered Media and Paper Tiger) gives us a chance to explore the aspects of how this crisis is being manipulated to roll back civil liberties at home, to increase ethnic stereotyping, to justify wars against unnamed targets abroad and to propel the nation in to aquiescence through fear and almost total control of the mass media environment. We will not be silenced! Please join us for the videos and organizing updates. Contact:(415)789-8484
