guide to differences between Terrorists and the US M-IC:

TERRORISTS:

Terrorists:
Humans who have 2 legs and 2 arms, and 1 head.
USA:
Made up of humans who also have 2 legs and 2 arms, and 1 head.

Interesting eh?! This is freaky!

Terrorists:
Men who kill others.
USA:
Military has men who are trained to kill others.

Wow!!!

Terrorists:
Breathe oxygen and live on planet earth.
USA:
Also breathe air and live on earth.

Oh my god, I'm confused! We are the SAME as the TERRORISTS!

MOMMMY!!!!

TERRORISTS: Keep women in burlap sacks
USA: Keep women in burlap sacks? Hmmm...I don't see any...
Do hippy clothes count?
TERRORISTS: Kill those who disagree
USA: So everyone in San Fransisco must be dead right? Their brains certainly are.
by Ryan
As intentional killings.. sorry.

You said:

"If you are a civilian, and somebody kills you, it matters not one iota whether it was "intentional" or not."

It sure as hell does matter. It's like the difference between accidentally hitting a person with your car, and proceeding to try and help them, versus mowing them down with a machine gun and laughing.

It's the distinction that you don't seem to understand, and causes you to make wildly innapropriate analogies about US motives in the war against terrorists.

by Ryan
I don't think anyone's quibbling over whether being dead actually means you're not alive anymore. We're talking about motive and intent, which goes to the heart of your false implications.
by haha
so ummm you guys really have to start getting some arguments instead of just sarcastically repeating what someone wrote. really. your blind patriotism is no replacement for an actual well-constructed sentence expressing a coherent thought.
by Ryan
I may have "blind patriotism" but at least I write something in refute of an illogical argument that you seem to be unable to cohernetly address.

Instead of sitting on the sideline taking potshots based on your assumptions about who I might or might not be-- please address the facts or discussion at hand.
