Approximately 10,000 people - teachers, family heads, phone
workers, unionists - all took to the streets in La Paz in
answer to a call from the organizers of the cacerolazo.

In the midst of the electoral circus, with the
usual teams of election managers and politicians offering
everything under the sun as long as they grab a few
votes, the masses in the streets have demonstrated their
refusal to put up with it much longer.
Approximately 10,000 people - teachers, family heads, phone
workers, unionists - all took to the streets in La Paz in
answer to a call from the organizers of the cacerolazo.
By striking our pots and pans, what we are saying in the
most forceful way possible needs to be drilled into the
heads of the politicians through massive abstention from
voting or spoiled votes in these elections. Not forgetting
the announcement that we are prepared to resolve our problems
through struggle to end the privileges of the bloodsucking
exploiters and oppressors.
