WARNING!!!! Go To April 20 Protest AND WEAR A MASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Concerned Activist
We must learn from what is happening in Denver and D.C.: WEAR A MASK, COVER YOUR FACE.

The Denver Police Department currently maintains over 3,000 permanent files on peaceful political activists - calling them “criminal extremists” and keeping watch on their vehicles, the homes of their friends, and monitoring their appearance at political rallies.
If you are attending the events in San Francisco on April 20, wear a mask to cover your face.

We must learn from what is happening in Denver and Washington, D.C. .

The Denver Police Department currently maintains over 3,000 permanent files on peaceful political activists - calling them “criminal extremists” and keeping watch on their vehicles, the homes of their friends, and monitoring their appearance at political rallies.

The SF Police Department is also doing this.

If you walk in a protest, the SF Police have YOUR picture on file. The Denver Police have been caught, the SF Police have not yet been caught, but it is a safe assumption that they do this. There could be "terrorists" among the peaceful protestors!

FUCK THE WAR.
FUCK THE PERMANENT PROFILES ON PEACEFUL ACTIVISTS.
FUCK WHITE SUPREMACY.

Not everyone should wear a mask:

IF you want to be in the Police Permanent File, DO NOT wear a mask.

IF you DO NOT want to be in the Police Permanent File, wear a mask.

PROTEST THE DENVER POLICE
by Robert Teesdale 1:52pm Sat Mar 30 '02

STAND UP FOR YOUR 1st AMENDMENT RIGHTS!

The Denver Police Department currently maintains over 3,000 permanent files on peaceful political activists - calling them “criminal extremists” and keeping watch on their vehicles, the homes of their friends, and monitoring their appearance at political rallies.

Join Robert Teesdale and the Tyranny Response Team in condemning this practice of the Denver Police Department - in a public protest rally on the steps of the Colorado State Capitol in April! Show the Denver Police that your voice is not intimidated into silence!

WHO: YOU

The ACLU has recently filed a class-action lawsuit against the City and County of Denver over the Denver Police Department's practice of keeping political surveillance files on activists and rally attendees, as well as the advocacy groups that organize the protests. Over 3,200 individuals and over 200 organizations have permanent files on them - many labeled as "criminal extremist" despite their only "crime" being that of daring to express a conviction of conscience.

This is an issue that cuts across all ideological lines of platform or issue advocacy, and goes straight to the heart of the most fundamental principle of America - that political opinions, peacefully expressed, are the most highly valued and protected foundation of our free society.

Robert Teesdale, a political activist and public speaker - and the Tyranny Response Team, a Bill of Rights advocacy group - will be holding a peaceful protest at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver on Sunday, April 21st from 1pm to 4pm.

Our intent is to demonstrate to the Denver Police Department that their practice of keeping such files is unacceptable; and produces only more determination on the part of conscientious citizens to never, ever, let their political conscience be silenced by official intimidation.

STAND UP AGAINST POLITICAL TYRANNY!

Fortunately, SF is not Denver, and these are not Colorado Cops. At least, they haven't yet been shown to be so. "Colorado Cops?" What could I possibly mean by that?
I formed an image during the Columbine High School shooting coverage that remains to this day. The cops were outside, wearing their basic black SWAT gang colors, with attractively accessorized flak jackets, and the students and teachers were inside, including the ones bleeding to death from the shooting. Meanwhile, the shooters were dead, having killed themselves, and all was quiet. So the police might have cautiously made their way into the halls, to confront the bad guys and save the wounded. That's what they do on TV, right? But no, they stayed outside, and when a wounded student appeared at they library window they courageously pulled a truck up outside so, when they pulled him out the window, he wouldn't fall clear to the ground. Then they ran the surviving students outside, class by class, with their hands on their heads like a bunch of Gook POWs.
Then, when all was quiet, they finally went in. Then they found the teacher who had quietly bled to death in front of his class.
That's Colorado Cops, in my mind. Now maybe SF cops would be just as craven, just as ready to parade for the helicopter media instead of going where the need and the risk was, as the Colorado Cops were, but I want to believe otherwise. Especially then I hoped ours were different, because I was teaching (I'm retired now) and I had to read over the drill for the "Gunman on Campus" case and decide what I would do if faced with the situation there. I wanted to believe that, here in CA, they would be willing to risk their black-clad, flack-jacketed, asses if I would risk mine. We never found out.
But I continue to hope that our cops are not like Colorado Cops. Yeah, they take photos in Co, and keep files on people who do terrorist things like marching peacefully. But I still think of Columbine and try to believe CA is different, so I went to the rally with my bare face showing.

November Six Niner Five Three Kilo is very brave. He protests with his face uncovered.

Either you're brave enough to show up without a mask or your gonna run chicken-shit all your life. You decide.

As I said, I had to read over the "Gunman on Campus" drill and decide what I would I do. Whether I would stick my head outside to lock the door, or sit down out of sight and hope a shooter didn't notice my room. Of course, thinking calmly ahead of time, it's easy to say. But I did linger a bit longer to tell my wife good bye in the AM thereafter. Tell us about what you've done.
