Massive level of FBI resignations since 9/11
The Washington Post reprted today that there has been massive resignations as well as firings within the FBI, since September 11. Could this be a crisis of conscious?

and the consequent shifting of the Bureau primary interests into counter-terrorism / domestic survellience.

I'm not sure what this means. It could be that the COUNTERPRO/ Judy Barre are exceptions to, rather than normal FBI policy, and that the new regulations are so reprehensible and disgusting that many agents are forced to leave either by the department or out of their own disgust.. And what are these new policies?.
