US Should Threaten War on Israel, Not Iraq!
While the US President and his supporters are trying hard to justify a war against Iraq, they are also trying to divert our attention from what should be the real target : Israel, the fourth largest military in the world and the proud owner of a nuclear bomb.
A war on Israel is justifiable for the following reasons:
While Saddam Hussein is accused of killing his own people, the same could be said about Israel, when you take into consideration that the Palestinians are Israel's own people too. The Palestinians share the land and are indigenous to the land. The Palestinians are also Semites. The Palestinians are completely under the military control of Israel and have been since 1967. The Palestinians have been persecuted by the Israeli government since 1967, and actually, since 1948. In 1948, when the UN gave away land that wasn't theirs to give away in the first place to the Jews for their racist state of Israel. On that very first day when Israel was immorally created, Israeli terrorists massacred thousands of Palestinians and drove over half of the Palestinian population, around 800,000, from their own homeland. These were the first of the Palestinian refugees, who now number 4 million, and even though according to UN Resolutions and International Law, they have the right to return, Israel has not cooperated in letting even one Palestinian refugee back to their ancestral homeland.
Israel is hoarding weapons of mass destruction. Israel is the only country in the region that has the nuclear bomb. One of Israel's main industries is in designing and creating weapons of mass destruction. And why is Israel stockpiling these weapons? Because Israel is a Black Hole, dragging the whole world into the abyss of mass destruction, and under the illusion that somehow, Zionists from around the world will rule the world because of this military might. The Jews say "Never Again" but that only applies the Jews. Their paranoia and self-perpetuated persecution fuel their anger towards the whole world, which they aim to control in a brutal fashion. Because didn't you know, everyone is an anti-Semite who isn't a Jew?
Yes, it is true that the US is now aiding and allowing Israel to be this modern day Frankenstein of a country, a verifiable house of horrors. But that is only because of the present government which is dominated by Zionists and their collaborators, who worship at the twin temples of gold and greed, under the gods of money and military power.

History is full of examples of the people taking back the power from the elite, decadent, morally corrupt ruling class, when they have gone too far. Now is the time to take back control, hopefully in non-violent ways. We must all take action to rid of our government of corrupt leaders who put money and military before people. The government is supposed to serve the needs and interests of the people. We the people must hold our leaders accountable to this. We must run for office or vote for the Green Party or anyone of any party, as long as they stand for equal rights for all, including Palestinians. We must not allow our government to put Isreal's selfish interests above our own. Israel is urging the US into war with Iraq. How ironic, when it makes more sense to threaten war against fascist Israel. The billions of dollars our current government is forking over to Israel, and then to Egypt, too, as hush money (so they won't complain about what Israel is doing to the Palestinians), should be kept here in America to fund our education and health programs, as well as culture, environment, and other programs. Under no circumstances should our US government ever support an apartheid, anti-democratic, racist country like Israel, which is a thorn in the side to the entire world. The US is the only country who backs immoral Israel. Currently we are complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity. Remember the law of Karma.
The US has a moral obligation to transform Israel into a true democracy whereby Palestinians will have equal rights, including all four million Palestinian refugees who should finally be allowed to return as is their right according to International Law and UN Resolutions. This is in America's best interests and is aligned with American values, according to our Bill of Rights and our Constitution.
We must act quickly. Get out in the streets! Vote Green and for other candidates who are pro-justice for Palestinians and honest candidates who put America first.

Seven of my immediate family members ( all under age of 12) were killed during teh second war. But I have no hatered for German people, I think it was their tragedy too. I can not speal for all the Jewish people, but a lot of them are hardworking and honest. I agree that what Israeli goverment does to Palestinians is wrong and must be stopped, but it can be worked out if diplomatic pressure is applied to Israeli goverment. WASHINGTON - The speeches are well rehearsed. They are full of passion, even
after being given a dozen or more times, and the message is always the same. In
Washington, the speakers are out in full force illuminating the obvious: that
war is bad, war is hell, war is dangerous to your health, war kills people — all
the major points except one. Sometimes war is necessary.
Some of these speakers, their minds set hard as diamonds only without the
sparkle, are back before the TV cameras, reliving with glee their youthful days
of protest against Johnson, Nixon, Laird and other long-departed politicians.
Unfortunately, time has dulled their abilities to invent catchy slogans. The
best Ramsey Clark, once a Johnson attorney general, now just returned from
Baghdad, could come up with was, "Stop the war on Iraq before it starts."
MOTLEY CREW
A motley crowd accompanied Clark, who has backed causes from North Korea, Iran
and Palestine, to Baghdad. They represented groups from the further shores of
political thought, yet they also claimed to speak for a number of religious
organizations, all in the name of peace.
Thomas Gumbleton, the Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop of Detroit, was on hand to
bless this new peace movement. But he always is. The bishop, a kindly gentle old
person, has never seen a peace movement that he did not feel compelled to join
or a despot that meant harm.
While the issue of Iraq may be new, the movement is as decrepit as its
supporters. As an international peace movement, it has all the signs of those
once managed by the Soviet KGB. Its revival is due, they say, to the threat of
U.S. military action in Iraq, long a Russian client for arms. The opposition to
military action against Iraq is being mobilized by still-active members of the
World Peace Council network, which was created by the Communist Party of the
Soviet Union.
While less prominent today than it was during the Cold War, the network remains
controlled by communists. Throughout the decade since the Soviet Union was
dissolved, it has supported anti-U.S. foreign policy interests in many areas.
There has been intense opposition to U.S. use of force against Iraq in the Gulf
War and against Serbia in Bosnia and Kosovo, the Strategic
Defense Initiative (SDI), the Plan Colombia "war" against Marxist drug-financed
terrorists and the war on terrorism itself.
'GOD'S WILL'
The World Peace Council networks long ago established links with faith-based
pacifist and peace groups, both directly and through a sister organization, the
Christian Peace Conference, and the World Council of Churches, in which the
state-controlled Soviet bloc religious groups played coordinated and influential
roles. Through appeals claiming that achieving "God's will" required opposition
to U.S. policy, faith-based groups joined with hard-line Marxists to oppose the
United States on a variety of issues. They now are coalescing against the war on
terrorism and action against Iraq. And, naturally the Institute for Policy
Studies is busy with this new cause through the more than 20-year-old World
Peacemakers and such stalwarts as Phyllis Bennis, David Cortwright, Congressman
Dennis Kucinich of Cleveland and former U.N. weapons inspector Scott Ritter, a
vehement opponent of armed action.
Ritter is an interesting guy. The time he spent in Iraq hunting Saddam's weapons
on behalf of the U.N. gave him credibility. Now, he claims that Iraq is
peaceful, pliant and docile with Saddam no threat. We must ask if Scott
compromised. Did he stay out in the hot sun too long? Was he purchased like a
sack of carrots or is he like a spy from fiction being established as a friend
of Baghdad so that he may learn more.
The Iraq anti-war campaign has adopted a tactic that was deemed successful in
the mid-1980s in preventing any direct U.S. military support to Nicaragua's
anti-Sandinista contras or to counterinsurgency efforts in Guatemala and El
Salvador: a pledge to commit civil disobedience — deliberate lawbreaking — in an
attempt to disrupt the government.
The pledge campaign received a boost when Pax Christi USA, the American part of
the international Catholic peace organization, committed itself to law breaking.
While leftists of many ideologies are taking leading roles in organizing this
civil disobedience, Bishop Gumbleton, a veteran activist with the World Peace
Council, took a central role in persuading Pax Christi USA to endorse civil
disobedience.
PROTESTS TO COME
Pax Christi USA claims 14,000 members who "work for the transformation of
society through nonviolence and advocate peacemaking as a priority in the
Catholic Church in the United States." It has 230 local groups in parishes,
among neighborhoods and on campuses.
The Iraq Pledge of Resistance commits its adherents to "nonviolent" civil
disobedience, although a significant number of activists regard damage to
property as "nonviolent." The preamble states, "Nationally coordinated
nonviolent resistance will signal the unwillingness of thousands of Americans to
support this war. It is … an effective way to bring the issue dramatically
before the public and to pressure the U.S. government to stop the war."
Targets will be Federal buildings, congressional offices, military installations
and "other appropriate places." Protests against the war that may never take
place are planned this weekend in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Atlanta and
Washington.
Working with Detroit's Bishop is the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC),
formed in 1917 by a group of fourteen socialist Quakers to aid draft resisters
during World War I. The AFSC offices are being used by local anti-war groups to
plan participation in the upcoming Iraq protests.
The AFSC's definition of terrorism is a "violent action on the part of oppressed
peoples in Asia, Africa, Latin America or within the black ghettos of America,
as they take up the weapons of violence in a desperate effort to wrest for
themselves the freedom and justice denied them by the systems that presently
control their lives." The solution, said the AFSC pamphlet, was to disarm
America and have it withdraw economically and militarily from the globe.
Assisting in the movement are the Episcopal Peace Fellowship and Lutheran Peace
Fellowship, both typical of the peace ministries that developed within a number
of mainstream Protestant denominations under the impetus of the Vietnam War.
So far, thankfully, no one has brought out the sitars to sing "Give peace a
chance." Call us cynical, but we can't help wondering whether this little
protest for peace is merely an elixir of youth for these aging baby boomers. A
little tussle with the government, some tinkling of breaking glass, a small
whiff of tear gas — it might be just the thing to get these 50-year-olds
marching in lockstep again, just as they did in their youth.
