URGENT: 9/21 Precinct Walks to Save Rent Control

by Tenant Voter
Sept. 21 precinct walks to defeat Prop R and Save Rent Control are in the Castro, gathering between 11 a.m. and Noon at the Metropolitan Community Church, 150 Eureka St., between 18th and 19th St. We MUST have 100 people at this site to cover the crucial tenant precincts. If you cannot be there on 9/21, call 415/282-5525 and arrange for a time to pick up your literature and precinct maps. If you run out of time, return to the precinct another day and finish it.

If you run out of literature, go to 558 Capp Street (near 20th St, 1 block East of Mission) and pick up more literature, or call 282-5525 and arrange for a time to pick up literature there. Literature will be regularly available on Wednesday mornings, from 10 a.m. to Noon at 558 Capp Street, San Francisco.

The No on R website should be checked daily, and is at http://www.saverentcontrol.com

Every Precinct We Walk, WE WIN. If we do not complete the September 21 precincts in the Castro and surrounding tenant areas, we could lose RENT CONTROL. We need everyone from everywhere of any age to WALK PRECINCTS TO SAVE RENT CONTR0L in San Francisco.

ANYONE CAN WALK PRECINCTS NOW TO SAVE RENT CONTROL.

You do not have to be a San Francisco voter or resident to WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control. Anyone, of any age, living anywhere, can WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control

IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT WE DEFEAT PROP. R.

The gay liberation movement, of which San Francisco is an international center, cannot survive here without rent control. If you want a gay liberation movement in San Francisco, you must WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control.

If you want to see anymore peace marches in San Francisco after this year in San Francisco, you must WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control.

If your household income is less than $100,000 per year and you want a roof over your head in San Francisco, you must WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control.

EVERY PRECINCT WE COVER, WE WIN.

This is serious, folks. Prop R will be a total catastrophe for San Francisco. So, please, Saturday, September 21 between 11 a.m. and Noon, go to 150 Eureka Street, between 18th and 19th St, near the Castro Street Muni Station and pick up your literature and precinct maps. We are given maps for both sides of the street for 2 precincts, and are expected to complete both precincts as our time permits. If you do not finish on 9/21, return another day, the sooner, the better, and finish its. Every doorbell at every residential building must have a flyer put in front of it. You do not have to talk to anyone; just leave the flyers. We will defeat Prop. R if we WALK PRECINCTS NOW to save rent control.

Tenant Voter recommends:
This tenant voter also does not usually support bonds. It is far better if the money comes from the general fund and the sooner people send that message to the Legislature, etc., the sooner they will have to cut back on prisons, the police and the military.
California: Yes on 52, No on all the rest. (You would be safe in voting a Bingo No on the California propositions).
San Francisco: Please note, on Prop B, the housing bond, tenants will be expected to pay for those bonds.
No on A, B, C, M, N, Q, R, BART Bond
Yes on D through L, O, P, S
