Congrats on your protest. As somebody who suffered through years at arcata high school i'm glad there are still activists there. I heard that the principle asked the polic to harrass the protest but the mayor called the police chief and told the police NOT to show up....

Why is AHS allowed to be such a fascist institiution while arcata maintains a reputation of being a progressive community.

We must use this opportunity to completely overthrow the corrupt, decadent, warmongering Bush Dictatorship. Unite my brothers and sisters to overwhelm the war machine, and be willing to sacrifice yourself for the greatest cause ever: the cause of human freedom and justice!

When did they become Bush's cops? Last time I checked, local police forces do not take orders directly from Bush...or even his advisors...or even those underlings...

I went to Humboldt State in the 1980's. Listen carefully. Bush was on tv today October 25, 2006. He said he would send in more troops if his generals asked for them. He made it clear that the American occupation of Iraq is essential to the survival of the United States. He repeated the same old crap we have heard from his dirty mouth for three years.

I want all you students to tell Bush. "FUCK YOU BUSH!!!!!" PRESIDENT BUSH IS A MENTAL CASE AND NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM POWER. HE IS POWER-MAD.

I request that you listen to me, Hippie Joe, and not to George Bush. Refuse to obey Bush. He has no authority over you because he is a lying, sick, twisted war criminal.

Do not be intimidated by this sicko mentally deranged pathetic piece of garbage presently sitting in the oval office with his thumb up his ass. George W. Bush is well on his way to sitting in handcuffs in the dock of a international war crimes court where that filthy smirk will fade from his ugly face when the verdict of guilty is returned and he is denounced for his criminal Iraq invasion and subsequent effort to hide his responsibility. I suggest that all concerned Americans simply boycott any business that refuses to publically oppose the Iraq war. Do not buy their bullshit or their products.Bring real pressure to bear, not just words. Identify, and ostrasize pro-war agents from the recruiting arm of the military when they come to campus to enlist more victims of their criminal enterprise.

Five long years of war has destroyed the American economy, disgraced the United States in the eyes of the world, ruined the opportunities for a negotiated settlement to the Palestinian crisis, and produced a new crop of mentally disturbed vets who will take out their wrath on innocent neighbors, wives, and children.

Why is this? Because the American people failed to measure up to their responsibilities. War is so glorious, power so captivating, and entertainment so engaging, that the trillions of dollars wasted on this God-damned evil war in Iraq were tolerated as essential to our national security.

Those of you at Aracata High School who participated in this 2003 protest are now graduating from college, getting married, seeking careers, and finding your way in life.

I hope that you have not forgotten the ideals,hopes, and dreams that led you to protest the war in Iraq. Don't give up! You are winners! You are the true future of a rebirth of a new conscoiusness and a new awareness. War does not solve any problems, but only creates more suffering and hate.

Nine years of war and it is unlikely to end next year as President Obama has promised. The USA and its Israeli partner cannot launch a joint military strike on Iran without using the military bases in Iraq. An American provisional/puppet type regime will be the policy priority for protecting America's perceived interest in the region. America has no diplomatic policy because diplomacy has been subjugated in favor of military action first and negotiations second or third or fourth or never.It raises the probability factor increasing the risk of of war. It is a self-defeating foreign policy and is a failure. America has dealt itself a losing hand. The only real solution is to remove all American forces from Iraq and Afghanistan immediately. To do otherwise is to exacerbate existing tensions and make a bad problem even worse.
