Green Day made a song against the war
One more US artist who made a song specificly against the war. As they know that Us radios will not boradcast such type of songs, most of them give songs freely on the internet.
Billie Joe Armstrong, the band's frontman, has posted an MP3 on the band's website of a track called 'Life During Wartime'.
The song is made with only an acoustic guitar, and Armstrong singing lyrics like "A real war to fight against/instead of our petty disagreements/How can I rationalise my life during wartime?". Aaron Elliot and Pinhead Gunpowder have written the text. On their website, you can also listen to a message of opposition to the war from bassist Mike Dirnt.
