One of the main organizers in his younger days. :)

April 30 2003 New York Times article and photos archived here:

I dipped into the article somewhat, nessie. Interesting. Followed up in Google with some searches on

Dutch Provos

Situationists

Had read some stuff previously, but the more I read the more useful it becomes. The main thing seems to be creativity actualized without dogmatism. And a willingness to engage people and even politics.

Anarchism seems frankly to just tag along. Kind of like Trotskyites just tag along. Why is it that religion and political dogmatism end up stifling most things?

I understand more and more why so little political activism occurs around the insanely racist drug war in the USA.

It is because white activists are so uncreative as a whole, in the USA. Plus most white activists seem so blind to the racism of the drug war. And that includes white anarchists.

Racist astronomical incarceration rates in the USA. And Drug War.

> The 1995 edition of the Sentencing Project report called "International Use of Incarceration" has the 1993 South African black male incarceration rate.

Charts. Astronomical Texas incarceration rate. 1% of its population imprisoned today. 1.3% of its adults incarcerated. Second only to Louisiana's incarceration rate. Texas leads all other U.S. states with 4.8 percent of its adult population under correctional supervision: jail, prison, probation, parole. The true evil legacy of the George W. Bush governorship of Texas (1994 to 2000).

Majority of 2.1 million U.S. prisoners are in due to drug war. Drug crimes, drug-related crimes (such as robbing to get money for drugs that are expensive because of the drug war), drug trade crimes, drug-related parole violations, etc.. USA has highest incarceration rate. The USA has 5% of the world's population and 24% of the world's 8.75 MILLION prisoners. The Drug-War Industrial Complex. Charts, stats, links, references.
