There will certainly be a sizable California delegation, as many of the primary organizers are from the Bay Area, including Clarence Thomas, Leo Robinson and Henry Graham of ILWU, Local 10, with Thomas being a co-chair of the MWM, Ralph Schoenman, the Chair of Communications of the Million Worker March (MWM); Steve Zeltzer, a member of the MWM organizing committee, producer of Labor Video Project's program, Labor on the Job on cable TV in San Francisco and candidate for District 9 Supervisor in San Francisco (see http://www.stevefor9.org) and many others.
The full list of speakers and events is at the website:

Everyone who supports labor and opposes war and fascism salutes this extraordinary event, a Labor March on Washington, and expect this to provide a new beginning for all social movements that advance the cause of the workingclass.
Congratulations and many thanks to all who made this dream come true as labor has not been organizing since 1950 on a mass scale and it is long overdue that we see labor on the move.
Let's see those reportback articles and photos! Already Washington, D.C. Indymedia is giving it coverage. See http://www.dc.indymedia.org
Since KPFA, 94.1 FM, is an endorser, we expect good coverage on the 6 p.m. news on 10/17/04.
From labor's anthem, Solidarity Forever:
In our hands is placed a power
Greater than their hoarded gold,
Greater than the mighty atom
Magnified a thousandfold.
We can bring to birth a new world,
From the ashes of the old,
For the union makes us strong!
Solidarity Forever!
