Artist Calls 4 Unemployed 2 Participate in Public Art by mailing want ads to the White House.

San Jose, October 2004, San Francisco Artist, Mattison Fitzgerald was so concerned about George Bush and Staff losing their jobs she felt all the unemployed in America could relate to this and help George Bushes retreat from office.

Fitzgerald felt it would be a wonderful statement from Americans unemployed "a public art expression as it is where they could vent at the same time by mailing the out of touch Bush Admin. the Want Ads from all over America". Fitzgeald feels Bush and staff "will really need them."

Fitzgerald feels this will help Bush get in touch with his reality.

All want ads need to be maile to George Bush, White House, Washington DC. USA.

hello mattison,
I am Nicolas husquet artistic director of the center experimental observatorio,
afflicted delay of my intervention about your missing paintings (and I exuse has the advance for my bad English) but I am in Belgium for various projects and I did not have much time has me,
I am sure that this is an miss understanding between juan pablo and you
but it is initially a big problem with luca curci.
you would have had interested you a little more of the fraudulent intentions of luca before made feel guilty juan pablo and our arts center.
Luca curci and its artexpo are most fraudulent association and swindles has artists whom I never knew.
after a very great number of complaint of artists about the atitude of luca curci and its not payment of the travel(shipping+taxes+customs problem etc...)works + the differents charge of inscription for the artists(sometimes 100 euros, sometimes 30 euros) without valid justification.
we had decided to stop artexpo, but the fact that many artists had paid and by respect for them we finally accepted.
where I find that you missed diplomacie(undoubtedly a behavior culturally has the fashion in the United States...) it is have publicly blaming observatorio without preliminary research of validity of the facts.
to as should know you as in Mexico it is very difficult to create independent associations artistic able to encourage young people in the modern art,
you undoubtedly have just contributed has the closing of this one.
I do not thank you and the next time please be more careful.
nicolas
