"No matter who is elected, we still say no to war and repression!" March and Rally, November 3rd, Powell and Market, San Francisco at 5 pm.
by codeblue (sfcodeblue [at] yahoo.com)
There are now multiple calls for action on Nov. 3rd. Two additional actions are the 9AM Beyondvoting/CodeBlue action, and the 5 PM Not In Our Name action.
I can speak more about the 9 AM since action since I am one of the organizers in Code Blue. In the morning we have a call-out for an action beginning at 9AM Justin Herman plaza for a rally with speakers. This will be followed by a march/vigil through Center City/Tenderloin, and a convergence at the Federal Building with street theater and other activities. During our march we plan to highlight the city's closure of the homeless self-help center, and to join in solidarity with the hotel workers (assuming the pickets are still up). Check out http://www.beyondvoting.org, or http://www.actagainstwar.org, or http://www.barhc.org for details. This event is sponsored by multiple affinity groups, DASW, and it has endorsements from labor and homeless organizations, and groups representing politically disenfranchised communities.
Later, at 5 PM, there is the NION rally and march as noted in the comments below. Please check out the Not In Our Name websites and flyers for more detail here.

There are plenty of right-wing targets in SF you can unleash your fury on, yet you're going to stand around and make fools of yourselves.

Who gives a fuck.

[Will topfreedom and nudity be tolerated?
SUN hopes so; but can't offer guarantees.
Never argue with, or disobey or ignore, a police officer.
(Save your arguments for a judge.)
If a cop orders you to cover up, do so;
and remain covered.

If a mere civilian prude orders you to cover up,
don't say anything, and don't make any promises;
just cover up temporarily,
walk away into the crowd until the nudophobe can't see you,
and then do as you please.

If any civilians insult you, smile silently,
then IGNORE them.
If they seem violent,
walk away s-l-o-w-l-y, smiling silently.
Don't waste any of your energy or time on civilian fools. ]
.....

[ DON'T bring alcohol or other intoxicants; you'll be searched when entering.
If you need or want to get a mild buzz on,
do so BEFORE you try to enter the fenced-off area.
(If you need to be heavily stoned, stay outside;
or go to the Tenderloin.)
Don't try to bring in anything which could be considered a weapon.
Don't bring valuables.
(Bring your cheapest camera, or a one-time camera;
not one which would tempt a thief.)
...........
DO wear a costume, even if it's just a mask.
(The more originality and imagination you show, the better;
but ANY COSTUME is better than none.)

USA: Nov. 2, Tuesday: Presidential election

Also, in 11 unfortunate states --
Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan,
Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota,
Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah;
and OHIO --
voters will decide whether to vandalize their state constitutions,
by adding amendments which diminish human rights.

In Oregon, the vote may be close;
partly because of libertarians.
In all 11 states, these hate amendments will increase turnout by fundis on the right,
and by queers on the left. Bush chose this ploy because fundis outnumber queers.
