"The lives of children around the world—especially in Palestine and Iraq—are in danger every day because of the militarism and misguided foreign policies of both political parties. Meanwhile, those who speak up for children and provide humanitarian aid are coming under increasing scrutiny and pressure. The Middle East Children's Alliance is proud to join Not in Our Name in its call to stand up to war and injustice—for the sake of all our children."

Barbara Lubin, Executive Director of the Middle East Children's Alliance

Because everybody knows Bush is NOT going to win November 2nd...
...that is, if enough concerned people get off their overly- idealistic butts and vote.
Pragmatism...the refreshing alternative. Try some today!

Look, guys, these protests and etc have been going on for two years and they have not changed a damn thing. I have read about the vast plans to "shut down" everything from the G8, to the IMF, to the Dem Conv to the Republican Conv, and on and on and on. Didn't work one time. If Bush wins, you can protest your ass off for the next four years and no one will care. If Kerry wins, the mainstream Dems will go back to sleep for four years. You need to work to convince the middle class that change is in order. You DON'T do that by rioting in the street and trashing stores. Sorry to be negative, but sometimes you need to change tactics when the old one no longer work. Find some new leaders and please distance yourselves from the ANSWER crowd. They do NOT have your best interests at heart.

Thankfully this isn't an ANSWER event.. it's a NION event, which is always slightly better..
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
