Hotel Workers' Fight: Revolution at the Palace

On Saturday, November 13 the Garden Court at the Palace is to be transformed into the HAPSBURG IMPERIAL COURT as the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra holds its gala auction benefit, VIENNA GLORIOSA. Socialite guests will arrive at 6PM for the caviar bar. They will come in formal attaire or period costume.

Locked out Local 2 Banquet waiters who have worked this event in past years hope to give the guests the welcome they deserve. Make them walk a gauntlet of jeering pickets from BART or the parking lot to the hotel entry. We can transform the sidewalks in front of the Palace into a scene from the French Revolution.

Join us at 5:30PM at Montgomery and Market. Bring drums, horns, or pots to bang. Come in union colors or dress in period costume as a scruffy Jacobin.
