Supposedly Mike Ness of Social Distortion made some stupid remarks at his recent show that he had been disturbed out of his beauty rest at 8am by picketers, and that he felt angry at picketers for 'taking it out on hotel visitors' , and generally indicated little understanding of the strike concept.
And your source for this is what?
What an idiot.
oh - the Mike Ness anecdote came from Jesse Townley, punk and green candidate for Berkeley city council (unless I'm completely hallucinating and he was referring to another member of the band). Jesse actually did really well considering he was a green candidate. He had great ideas and lots of people spoke badly of the guy who won. I've been meaning to do an article about it. He was running in a Berkeley hills district which probably has more money in it than the entire wealthy area of ... Tulsa or Kansas City or somewhere - although not the top of the hill - the Gourmet Ghetto area.
