Press Release
Candle Light Vigil
When: Tuesday June 7, 8pm
Where: Old Court House Square, Santa Rosa
In response to US Supreme Court’s ruling in Gonzalez v. Raich Join
Americans for Safe Access for an event honoring medical Cannabis
patients’ struggle for safe access to medicine.
Attend a Candlelight Vigil memorializing those who have passed away
without the dignity of safe access.
And
Urge Lynn Woolsey, Wes Chesbro, and others in Congress to protect
medical marijuana patients by supporting the Hinchey-Rohrabacher
amendment. Which would prevent the U.S. Department of Justice from
prosecuting and imprisoning patients and caregivers who are acting in
compliance with state law.
Light a candle for people who will die because of the federal
government’s refusal to recognize cannabis as medicine.
Bring a green candle, dress in black, and bring a picture of patients
who have passed away because they didn’t have access to their medicine
to take part in the vigil!
