Why: Because Oakland's youth deserve better!! They
deserve an alternative venue for sideshows and other
activities, not incarceration and political
opportunism on their backs! We do not believe the
myth that the City is putting enough resources into
our youth; even with Measure Y and Oakland Fund for
Children and Youth money combined Oakland only is
spending $300 per year per youth in public school in
Oakland, well less when all our other children and
youth are included!!
