Boycott Jon Stewart's Daily Show and his Neocon Guests

by CA
Time to boycott the Daily Show until they get more progressive guests to balance the right wing rhetoric of the neocons.
Tell The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and the show’s producers that we will boycott the show unless they provide a more balanced program by providing more anti-war guest on in the interview segment of the show. Last night, Jon Stewart interviewed that despicable, sleezy, neocon and ultra-pro war propagandist Christopher Hitchens once again on his program. And, once again, the American audience was subjugated to more lies and more nonsense about why we should sacrifice more of our sons and daughters for the neocon war.

Why boycott a TV Program?

The Daily Show is one of the most watched programs on TV. MTV took a poll and found many American youth trusted this program more than cable news to get their news. The show and its comedians have taken an overwhelmingly negative perspective on the Iraq war and they media and how it was used as an organ to sell the war.

In 2003, The Daily Show won two Emmy awards: "Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music Or Comedy Program". The Critics Choice Awards gave Jon Stewart their Individual Achievement in Comedy award, and the show received their Outstanding Achievement in Comedy award. Critics Choice also nominated The Daily Show for "Outstanding Achievement in News and Information".

The show is also known for getting big names in politics and in the media to show up for it’s interviews. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the political and media guests are the ones who promoted the lies that got us into the war in the first place. Shouldn’t we demand better of the Daily Show. Yes!

Demand that the producers balance the right-wingers that they have had (overwhelmingly) on the program (Christopher Hitchens, Trent Lott, Henry Kissinger, Newt Gingrich) with real progressive voices like Cindy Sheehan, Noam Chomsky and Medea Benjamin, and not the pseudo progressives like Hillary Clinton or Joe Lieberman that the show’s producers like to tell us are the real voice of the progressive left.

Could you actually comprehend CHANGING THE CHANNEL OR TURNING OFF THE TELEVISION IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW? Are you really so lame that you require everyone else to follow you when you don't like the show? Could you maybe grow up and be an adult?
by Hey, brain dead Steve-STFU
And you wonder why everyone laughs at you...

Had a few laughs-- but that's it:

Stewart never claimed to be more than a comedy show anyway.

Until the bodybags stop coming home, I have no time for television.
