help animal rescue efforts in hurricane-ravaged areas

I've been following the hurricane coverage, and am utterly saddened at the devastation I've seen. I feel for the people left homeless, and I also am extremely concerned about the animals, pets and otherwise, trapped in the flooded regions. (I won't go into any horror stories, but I'm sure you can use your imagination here.)

There is an organization called EARS - Emergency Animal Response Service, that rescues and takes care of animals in disasters such as these. Their website is http://www.uan.org/ears/index.html .
