US passport renewals $67. Next year $234?

by free
RENEW NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN
Soon passports will require submission of biometric DATA.
RFID chips in passports soon.
Applications are available at US post office.
Some post offices are actually capable of accepting your application, taking your photo, etc. (NOT GOOD)(Big Brother)

But you are safer by sending in two of your own photos.
In that way they are not able to digitally capture you, etc.
You can better protect your privacy by submitting your own photos and renewing by mail.

You may renew by mail IF:

Your current passport is less than 15 years old.
You submit that passport.
You were at least 16 years old when your most recent US passport was issued.
You have not changed your name.

You will need to submit $67 personal check or money order
and
2 identical photos each measuring 2 inches by 2 inches of your head against a light background
($14 passport photos at kinkos; what a ripoff!)

2005 Currently renewal fee is $67.
Next year it may be $234? 2006

But that is NOT the only reason to renew now.

If you wait too long you will have to submit to biometric testing.
Soon there will be an RFID microchip imbedded in passports containing whatever they sample:
Fingerprint, Iris, etc.
