Todd Chretien on the Year Ahead

by Todd Chretien (LEFT HOOK)
Todd Chretien is a Green Party peace activist running for Dianne Feinstein's U.S. Senate seat.
This is reposted from M. Junaid Alam's Left Hook.
Looking for a Few Good Candidates in 2006

Todd Chretien

Could 2006 be the year that a sizeable number of people take their opposition to the war in Iraq to the polls? Of course, President Bush is enemy number one. His administration is guilty of war crimes and intends to ratchet up their rampage, witness Karl Rove's speech justifying NSA spying. No doubt, the Bush administration constitutes a grave threat that must be met by building a protest movement in the streets, against the military recruiters and amongst the soldiers themselves. But here's the question: is the Democratic Party the people's sheriff or part of Bush's outlaw gang? Most Congressional Democrats voted to invade Iraq. They voted for the USA Patriot Act. They voted for No Child Left Behind. They voted for CAFTA. Half of them voted for Chief Justice Roberts, and none of them even tried to filibuster Samuel Alito. As the National Organization of Women noted, simply casting a vote against Alito while refusing to filibuster him is a "meaningless gesture."

That phrase pretty much accurately describes the level of opposition the Democrats have put up against Bush's assault on the planet. The Democrats seem incapable of eating from the smorgasbord of scandals served up by Rove, Rumsfeld and Rice that ought to be destroying the Bush presidency. Why? Because they helped cook up most of the dishes. Remember when Secretary of State Albright said killing 500,000 Iraqi children through US-enforced sanctions was "worth it." Now Sen. Feinstein is making a lot of noise about the NSA spying, as well she should. However, her argument is that the FISA courts already provide a mechanism for domestic spying that she fully approves of. Her beef is that Bush is spying on Americans the wrong way. This is hardly a line in the sand to protect the Bill of Rights.

Last week, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi held a town hall meeting in a "safe" part of San Francisco. She assured the audience that Democrats support "90% of the USA Patriot Act" and want to win in Iraq, they just want to do it without Bush. She explained that Rep. John Murtha's resolution does not mean leaving the Middle East, only "redeploying our troops over the horizon [i.e. Kuwait] and leaving enough equipment in Iraq so that we can easily go back in to deal with any threats at any time." The audience of mostly loyal Democrats grumbled a bit about this. Then an audience member asked her to support impeaching Bush, which she scoffed off. This was too much for even most of her biggest fans, and the majority of the 1,000 people there erupted into jeers. When she tried to calm them by saying that instead of impeaching Bush, everyone should "get behind the Democrats in the 2006 mid-term elections," the jeers turned into shouts of exasperation.

Here in California, supposedly the Bluest of the Blue States, the Democrats hold large majorities in both the State Assembly and the Senate. Yet in the wake of Stan Tookie Williams execution, they couldn't even get a bill out of committee last week that would have placed a two-year moratorium on the death penalty. When I asked one of the State Assembly Democrats who supports the moratorium bill why, he said, "well, it's an election year and the Republicans would have used it against us." In other words, the Democrats let the Republicans set the terms of the debate. The cost of this permanent retreat strategy is real. Last week Schwarzenegger carried out the execution of Clarence Ray Allen, a Choctaw Cherokee Indian, on Martin Luther King's birthday. This comes eight weeks after California voters resoundingly rejected every single one of Gov. Schwarzenegger's referendums in November. But rather than fight, the Democrats are looking for "areas of commonality" with the governor, according to Don Perata, the Democratic President Pro Tem of the California Senate. This is all familiar stuff. But there are signs that many people are getting fed up. Just this week, Michael Berg (http://bergforcongress.us), whose civilian son Nicholas was abducted and beheaded in Iraq after he was detained and held incommunicado by the American military, announced that he is running for Congress in Delaware as a member of the Green Party. Next door in Maryland, Kevin Zeese is running for US Senate against the Democrats as an anti-war candidate. Here in California, I am running as a Green against Sen. Dianne Feinstein on a Million Votes for Peace platform. In the next few weeks, announcements will be made about at least one other serious campaign against the two pro-war corporate parties on the west coast.

This is a promising start, but what if 2 or 3 or 5 or 10 Gulf War veterans and military family members took Michael Berg's lead and stepped forward to say, "we won't vote for either party that sent us and our family members to war." And what if they ran as Greens or independents on anti-war platforms against the two pro-war parties for Congress and for Senate? This could be the beginning of bringing peace to the polls, rather than endlessly repeating the Dennis Kucinich strategy of speaking out against militarism and then telling his supporters to vote for John "Reporting for Duty" Kerry. Wouldn't drafting and supporting genuine third-party, anti-war candidates make more sense for the peace movement than responding to MoveOn.org's inevitable call to donate large sums of money to the help the Democrats win a few Congressional seats?

Breaking the stranglehold of the two pro-war parties won't happen all at once, but we could make a good start in 2006 by building a movement that both marches and votes to demand we Bring the Troops Home Now. The 100,000 dead Iraqis and 2200 dead American soldiers deserve nothing less.

I'm voting for Cindy Shehan. This Todd character will take marching orders from his handlers representing the party's central committee. Fuck that!
by Stan Woods
One Omission from Todd's article . Marsha Feinland of Peace and Freedom party is also running for U.S. Senate challenging Feinstein . As re Cindy Sheehan , hopefully she will not run as a Democrat challenging Feinstein in the Democractic primary .As a courgeous , Uncompromising Antiwar mother of a slain G.I. , she belongs squarely outside that wretched party of War and Capital .Among the many reason she shouldn't run in their primary, is the real possibility that her running as a Democrat could trigger thousands of current registerants of Peace and Freedom party and the Green Party to drop those affilations and reregister Democrat .That could be a real blow to electoral alternatives on the Left .
Why did the ISO support the sectarian fascist Iraqi resistance? Ask Todd.
by Tofo
Marcia Feinland, who is married to her fellow Peace and Freedom Party candidate - John Thomas Condit (the would be Insurance Commissioner) once served on the Berkeley Rent Board. She and Condit moved in together in north Berleley up near Black Oak. At the time Condit sublet out his old rent controlled residence at 1638 Grant Street and pocketed the difference in clear violation or the city's rent control ordinance. Feinland concealed Condit's scam since she benefitted economically (and because she would have been thrown off the rent board if this became public at the time of her tenure). One of Condit's sublet tenants was Lenni Brenner who left a paper trail because he registered to vote there at 1638 Grant. Feinland and Condit are among those who have seized contol of the "official" Peace anbd Freedom Party apparatus (the State Central Committee) where they work overtime to exclude their critics.
by Kevin Akin (Note: real name!) (kevinakin1950 [at] hotmail.com)
This posting by "Tofo" reveals a real problem with the rules and format of this medium, that should be kept in mind by all readers. Outright lies and outrageous distortions can be posted anonymously, and if not answered immediately can convince the gullible. And all of us can be gullible some of the time.

As it happens, "Tofo" is not as anonymous as he hopes. One person is responsible for almost all the material posted here that insults and defames the Peace and Freedom Party and its activists and candidates. Certain elements of his style and components of his material are hard to disguise. This twisted soul once received only a single vote at the state convention for the top spot, and has ever since simmered with hatred against the entire Peace and Freedom Party. He has one friend and some casual acquaintences who have sometimes been suckered into posting material for him, but most of this stuff is from his own keyboard under various names, purportedly posted from various locales.

Tofo uses a few actual facts, but then buries them in manure. For example, Tom Condit and Marsha Feinland are now a (very nice) married couple, who live in Berkeley. Marsha served as an elected member of the Berkeley Rent Stabiization Board. But from there, we enter the realm of fiction.

Tom did in fact have a separate residence - many years ago. In fact, this was before they were married. He sometimes shared this residence with various people of a Left persuasion who were in town temporarily, before they either left town or found their own homes. He is a generous fellow (no doubt another mark against him in Tofo's little book). After he and Marsha became close, he did not always spend the night at his own house. If people were routinely evicted for this in Berkeley, the place would have a much lower population.

As it happens, I was once one of those temporary houseguests of Tom Condit. I stayed over at his place for two nights during a meeting. And I can assure you that, whatever Tofo and the rest of the Bed Police might tell you, Tom did in fact maintain the place as his personal residence during this period, which is even a little later than the period to which Tofo refers. His books were on the shelves (and as all his friends can tell you, on the table, the floor, the chairs and the bed). This is the normal way, in an intellectual oasis like Berkeley, to tell where someone actually lives. His voluminous political files were there, his clothes were there, and even the most skeptical person who actually looked at the place would have concluded that he really did live there.

Marsha and Tom, like many people in their milieu, did not automatically move immediately from mutual fondness to a completely shared life. In fact, they still often disagree on one thing or another, being highly intelligent people who often look at the world from somewhat different angles. But after a while, they ended up actually living together, and they went still farther and took the radical (in some circles) step of getting married. At this point, they looked around for a house of a somewhat larger size, and moved into the place where they now live in Berkeley, where they often host Party events.

I am afraid that I see nothing at all scandalous in any of this, at least by California standards. No law violations were involved, not even an infraction. I am sure that Marsha retaining her maiden name would irritate a few people in Boise, but that's not in California. Nothing had to be "concealed" - although, to be perfectly frank, they were a little slow to tell some of their friends that they had married because they didn't want to shock them. Berkeley is Berkeley, after all.

So Tofo takes an ordinary story (even a rather charming love story, if told properly), adds a bit of fiction, fudges the times involved, and pretends that he has a scandal that makes Feinland a fake. You judge who is the fake. Personally, knowing both of them and being very impressed by their abilities and expertise in their particular areas, I will vote with considerable enthusiasm for Marsha Feinland for US Senate and Tom Condit for Insurance Commissioner. -Kevin Akin
by Union Staffer who would lose their job if
I will vote for Cindy Sheehan only if she runs as a independent . I think the Anderson Valley Advertister editorial and other postings have made a convincing case why Cindy should not run as a Democrat . i will probably vote for Marsha Feinland . I think a strong message needs to be sent not only to Sacramento and Washington D.C. but also to many progressive leaders. My union leaders are so blindly tied to the Democrats that i would most likely be fired from my staff job if i publicly stated my views on this ! The best way to make a statement for Peace and Justice is for as many voices as possible to be cast for the most radical candidate on the ballot . That's Marsha not Todd. Todd is a great speaker , better than Feinland . I do think he would make a more convincing candidate . But his failure to be clear about his politics and idelogy bothers me . So if Cindy doesn't run a independent campaign Peace and Freedom will get my vote .
by Time to Step Outside of the Box
Todd is the perfect candidate to be running for the Green Party against Dianne Feinstein. He speaks well and debates well: and he will keep the war issue on the front stage where it belongs.

On top of that: (as one sees in this article) Chretien is committed to bringing in a multitude of voices to oppose the two party monopoly over democracy in our state.

The other day, I went to hear Todd speak at the Women's building at 18th Street here in San Francisco. Todd was clear that he wants the Green Party to welcome and promote non-whites, immigrants, and the poor (people who vote Green or are sympathetic to the Green Party-- but yet remain largely excluded from the Party's inner workings). Chretien's view is hopeful but cautious and realistic. If Greens, Peace and Freedom, disenchanted rank and file Democrats, Supporters of Cindy Sheehan, AND THE VICTIMIZED AND OPPRESSED come together and make a Million Votes For Peace: Change CAN happen.

It is time to step outside of our boxes: Support candidates who you believe in because of their record and convictions. Unite in the common cause: Simply, If You are for war-- WE WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU!

If you are for Peace-- YOU ARE ON OUR SIDE!

Between, "anti-sectarian", "magon", "tofo" and "d.r.Sykes" - there would appear to be a concerted campaign to defame (or 'detain and discredit' - in the idiom of Counter-Intelligence/Counter-Insugency practitioners) third party candidates running against multi-millionaire/war-pig/intelligence-asset, Sen. Feinstein and her cohorts.

Gee, I wonder why that would be. It must be easily explainable. Perhaps we can describe this phenomenon as the natural result of what happens when 'bad people' and 'bad parties', dare to challenge that bastion of virtue, known as "The Democratic Party".

But I can also think of an alternative possibility. Perhaps this is what happens when the kind of person whom the CIA recruited for domestic work in the past - private-eyes, often (but sometimes, entertainment people, mafiosi and their associates, cops, etc.) - gets hired to conduct a disinformation campaign on the internet.

Sounds like Operation MH-Chaos, is still in full effect - at least from what's been posted here, so far.

I've seen some spooky things around ISO happenings - but then again, can someone tell of an organization that hasn't been compromised? Can we say with any certainty what Todd's relationship with the ISO (as oppossed to the Green Party, or his constituents) would be? I think not - we're all entitled to an opinion, but some facts or evidence would carry more weight than this chattering and misguided speculation.

If you want to understand what's really up with the concerted smear efforts - you should ask Private Investigator Jan B. Tucker. He's in the LA phone book.

Go ahead and waste your vote on him.
by Curious George
Is that "Condor" like in Condor Legion? Frankly you are an idiot, Condor. Akin and Feinland play musical chairs with the position of State Chair in Peace and Freedom Party's State Central Committee. They're practically in bed together. It's very ironic that Akin, a former Communist Party apparatchik (not sure if he resigned or was expelled), is hand in glove with the Condit-Feinlands who are both lifelong anti-communists. The fact that they got control of the P & F is a tragedy for those who hoped the party would some how fulfill its original mission to "serve the people". By the way Kevin and Marsha are responsible for pushing Peace and Freedom towards a pro-Israeli position, having weakened and diluted all attempts to articulate and define support for the rights of the the people in the occupied territories.
And no, the name is from "Three Days of the...".

Who fills your ears with such horse-shit, anyway?

Have you been receiving opposition-research reports from Mr. Tucker?

When was the last time you attended a meeting of the State Central Committee? Have you ever run for the SCC? It's not as competitive as you might imagine, really.

All I see in your post is innuendo, and red-baiting.

You're absolutely innaccurate in your assessment of P&F's take on Israel BTW.

If you want to be chair, run and get yourself elected. I'm sure you'll be handed the headaches, gladly.

by Kevin Akin (sorry, just my own name again) (kevinakin1950 [at] hotmail.com)
This Curious George/Tofo guy just won't give up, will he? Must lead a very busy and productive life. I thought I should check the slander board here again after a couple of days, and what do I find but that Marsha, only recently illicitly in bed with her own husband, is now practically in bed with me! I can tell that the baiter wants to get me in trouble with my wife.

When practically the whole State Central Committee asked me to serve as State Chair this term, and elected me unanimously, I thought that was an endorsement of the job I did last time I was state chair. But no, it was some sort of an arrangement I worked out with Marsha to trade positions, apparently. Boy, was this carefully kept secret from the masses! Even I didn't know about it.

And my politics, that I had not thought to have changed much over the last 35 years or so, seem to have been seesawing back and forth alarmingly. First I was supposed to have been a Communist Party apparatchik at some unspecified time and place, and then I am supposed to have either quit or been expelled, later(?) to become bosom buddies with Condit and Feinland who are supposedly anti-communists, and now I am apparently a Zionist (for which we may simply read "Jew," I believe, and I am in fact a Jew) who with my close friend Marsha has frustrated the desires of the entire remainder of the Party and kept it from adopting a policy of support for Palestinian rights.

Well, we all know that Jews have amazing powers to mislead people - Curious George/Tofo can probably tell you all about that from the books he and his old friend J. Edgar used to read together. But poor Marsha has managed to mislead even herself! Because in her standard piece of campaign literature for US Senate two years ago, she urged that the United States stop all aid to Israel until Israel pulls out of the occupied territories and stops violating Palestinian rights! Ah, it is so hard to keep track of particular positions when you are a communist/anticommunist radical/conservative inactive/active campaigner for Palestinian nationalism/Zionism! Easy to be confused.

OK, folks, let's be real. This joker who is infesting IndyBay with his anonymous hit pieces against the Peace and Freedom Party and all its activists is plainly a malicious saboteur, and may well be paid to fulfill this role. If he is who we think he is, he is actually a paid liar and saboteur who has been employed as a union-buster, a sometime spokesperson for the fascist terrorist organization that calls itself the "Jewish Defense League" (which should shed light on the sincerity of his desire that the Peace and Freedom Party take a militant stand in favor of driving the Jews out of pre-1967 Israel: he wants this so we can be baited as anti-Semites). He has worked undercover in factories to learn who was using drugs (including marijuana) so they could be fired, he once took money from a gullible wealthy Armenian to get an anti-Azerbaijanian resolution passed at a Peace and Freedom Party meeting - and wasn't he fit to be tied when we wouldn't pass it - and I have probably already listed enough of his activities to leave you doubting me, even though I have hardly begun.

It is a little hard to pin down actual facts about him, as he tells so many lies that the truth gets lost among them. He has stated to various people that he is a Jew, an Armenian Christian, a Satanist, etc., that he is a non-socialist leftist, a Green, a Peace and Freedom adherent, a Democrat, a conservative, etc., that he is gay and straight, that he is a man and a woman (the woman part is a lie, but he uses it mainly in writing, having an androgynous first name), and he has used literally hundreds of names. He thinks he is Rockford, but he is really Angel (this last meaningful only to Rockford Files fans). And the reason why some people are so cagy about mentioning his name is that he regularly threatens to sue people for defaming him. Well, in actual fact, he would be hard to defame. What could you say about him that would be worse than the truth?

If I am explaining the wrong fellow to you, perhaps Curious Tofo could tell us who he really is.

Anyhow, if you doubt any of this, I have a real name, a real e-mail address, and a real telephone number, and you should feel free to ask me about any of it. But please - I only respond to humans who have names. A curious prejudice of mine. Thanks. -Kevin Akin
by Tom Condit (tomcondit [at] igc.org)
What I find curious about "Tofo"'s original post is his familiarity with Lenni Brenner's voter registration record.

So far as I know, the only people who keep that close an eye on Lenni are the cops, private detectives and miscellaneous informers who the Anti-Defamation League hires to spy on critics of Israeli policy (who the ADL considers by default to be "anti-semites").
by Condor
That reference slipped by me. Good eye.

I think Kevin's defense, speaks for itself.
by Running Duck
Notice how Tom Condit avoids answering the sublet issue -- how he was defrauding the landlady (and later her estate), not to mention the spirit of our Berkeley rent ordinances. Under rent regulations, Condit only paid $100.00 per month and charged triple that and more to a series of tenants that he sublet to. Prior to becoming an off the books rental agency, Condit used the kitchen of the admittedly tiny Grant Street house not only as his residence but as his cannabis distribution center where he distributed low to mid-grade sativa to the gullible for high grade prices. Never paid any taxes on the proceeds from either. And who is Condum/Condor who has suddenly piped up to defend the likes of Condit and his takeover gang. Will Kevin Akin (real name) attack Condum/Condor for being anonymous! I think not. As to the ADL charge it's just a diversion to make Berkeley Peace and Freedom Party and the Akins feel like they are of any importance to anyone.
by Kevin Akin (no creativity at all on names!) (kevinakin1950 [at] hotmail.com)
Oh, my! This tofoduck, who appears to be the same fine gentleman who a few days ago called me a commie Jew associate of anti-commies, again reveals himself in his real character: the north end of a horse headed south. And what a steaming pile! I am afraid that I am at a disadvantage - unlike the Pirate Defective, who does this sort of thing for a living, I have never enquired into whether my friends may have shared "sativa" with other friends all those decades ago. So although I am reasonably sure that this is just a shot-in-the-dark charge with nothing behind it, I cannot swear that I know there is nothing to it. I do, however, know that the financial details he gives for Tom Condit's alleged subletting are false. And why should Tom, who did not bother to deny anything else this scum made up, be bothered to deny anything at all from an agent from Southern California who is pretending to be a northerner for this forum, and using at least five false names in a month?

Now, since none of this has anything at all to do with this year's election, I don't really see a lot of point to continuing this discussion that no one appears to be reading. I will, however, check in now and then to see what new names Mr. Tuck comes up with, and I may comment if it seems appropriate.

Curious that someone who left the Peace and Freedom Party a couple years after getting exactly one convention vote for the top spot, and that one from his best friend in all the world, can label those who stayed active as a "takeover crew." His attempted takeover when we returned to the ballot, after he did absolutely nothing to help in the registration drive, came to a bad end when he could get no one to sign his petitions for Governor. In fact, the elected leadership of the Peace and Freedom Party is in touch with the membership, represents that membership, and leads through action and example. We have broadened the active party leadership considerably over the past two years, and will be electing the biggest State Central Committee in at least 8 years in the coming primary election. We have organized county central committees in more counties than we have had for 16 years. A scummy enemy agent sniping at us is not going to do much, and it must be frustrating for him to realize this. He gets nastier and nastier as this becomes clearer.

I am not going to defend anyone making false charges under a false name. But the only one doing that here is Mr. TofoDuck, or Tuck, if you will. So far his stuff assays about 99% horse manure, but if you age it, it will make good fertilizer. If he ever writes anything under his own name, I promise to respond reasonably, with specific details and information about anything he asks about. But this anonymous fertilizer is only good for vegetables. -Kevin Akin
by Donna
Kevin Akin is totally wrong, totally twisted, and oh so full of himself.
How does one argue with such ignorant and insubstantial denials?

I guess Kevin has the right idea. Wait for a real human, or reasoned opinion, on matters substance.

And I've heard of far worse, in the way of financial improprieties and elder abuse, as being de rigeur, at the Pirate Defective agency of Mr. Tuck.

What do you really know, Donna (he asks Mr. Tucker, now in drag), about Mr. Tucker? How far back do you go with him? Have you ever engaged in espionage on behalf of the ADL, or some other quasi-fascistic State apprati?
But speaking of matters of substance...

Mr. Tuck/Duck (who appears to suffer from multi-personalities, as would the 'manchurian assasins' dreamed up by MK-ULTRA) has the nerve to question who I AM?

Whom have I gone onto the internet, to unprovokedly slander (and don't say Jan Tucker - as 'the truth' is always a great defense against 'slander' - and my posts have always been return-fire, anyway)?

Even in his unconvincing, and reality-challenged responses and attacks, Mr. Tuck has only further illustrated the point I'm making (that he's working for 'Tha Man').

Assuming that his scandalous accusations against Tom Condit WERE true...and I highly doubt it (esp. if Mr. Tuck's detect-ing is anything like as shoddy and transparently inept his provacateur-ing) - so what? What kind of NARC are you? Just some self-deluded wannabe cop, without much in the way of critical thinking skills.

The insane anti-marijuana-prohibition statutes are some of the least popular "laws" on the books, around the US as well, but particularly, here in California. Unless you're really going to expose yourself, as the kind of fascist apparatchik that you really are - you'll have to admit that "the people" are the source of all just laws, and the ultimate source and repository of all governmental power.

As sovreign and independent beings capable of rational thought, and exercising free-will and inalienable rights, they could never lawfully be prosecuted for any crime without a verifiable victim, claiming verifiable damages. Such are the nature of the vast majority of prosecutions which arise from "contraband crimes", of the sort which you reference.

To me, the most damning of your completely unsubstantiated and unverifiable charges, is the claim that Tom was selling mid-grade weed at high-grade prices. Shocking stuff.

But since you've always demonstrated such libertarian and anti-socialist tendencies in the past (and assuming that you actually have any principles to uphold), we can only assume that you would approve of Tom's alleged entrpreneurship. He sounds like a regular "Future Enterpriser". What would AEI or the Competitive Enterprise institute say about such practices? Caveat Emptor, perhaps? You really should be proud of his alleged expertise, with the mechanics of 'free markets'.

But alas, I highly doubt that you actually have any principles to uphold. Surely, if you ever did, you chucked them out-the- window when you took on this particular assignment.

And that reveals you most certainly for who and what you are Mr Tofo-Magon-Donna-Duck Tucker - A paid SNITCH.

Condor's writing style seems to be that of Kevin Akin's. Could it be that Akin condemns writers who use pen names - a most common practice here at Indymedia, while writing under one or more phony names himself. With Akin personifying the leadership of the Peace & Freedom Party we'll probably never see the end of these postings. Kevin seems compelled to always have the last word. Condor should change his name to Condum as suggested earlier. Condum being a condom for dumb fucks (and a tool for covering up the misdeeds of Peace and Freedom Party's Politburo). Why the Greens would have anything to do with a coalition with these wingnuts is beyond me.
by Condor
You really are an idiot Jan. Kevin's numbers are completely different, I'm sure.

Don't they teach you how to trace these things, at donut college?

I am not now, now have I ever been, Kevin Akin.

You are now, and appear always to have been, an idiot, and a cop.

You are also, guilty as charged, since you can't muster any rational arguments in your own defense. No...instead, you swing at shadows, and regurgitate the same hackneyed lies over and over...

Would it be a violation of your "professional" and "ethical" obligations to tell us who's paying you, for your "work"?

Let's get focused! Diane Feinstein needs to go. She is not "Republican lite" as some left liberal pundits proclaim. Diane Feinstein is the ENEMY. She supports Israel's weapons of mass destruction, she has never seen a military appropriations bill she wouldn't vote for, Senator Feinstein has put one over on liberals every chance she gets. DiFi opposes so-called assault weapons while packing a pistol (with a permit from the City and County of San Francisco). Diane votes for U.S. wars every chance she gets. Our job is to build enough left votes that Feinstein isn't re-elected. We need to get behind Todd and make sure we hold the balance of power in this race. Don't worry about the Republican winning, we can easily take him/it out next time around. It is time to take the Democrats to task. Middle moderation is nothing but the Dead Center. Vote Todd Chretien in November.
