Urge the Santa Clara County District Attorney to Drop the Charges Against the DeAnza 8

The DeAnza 8 (5 Arab-Americans, 2 African-Americans, and a Caucasian -- 6 of whom are Muslim) were racially profiled and arrested on 11/11/05 while protesting Gen. Colin Powell at DeAnza College.

Their court date is WEDNESDAY, Feb. 22, 2006. We need all members of the community to urge the District Atty's office to drop all charges (2 carry felony strikes!)

Write personal letters, by snail mail of email, ASAP to David Howe and urge him to be responsible by dropping the charges against the racially profiled students. Please be polite. For more information, go to http://www.southbaymobilization.org or http://www.adcsf.org

Ask that an investigation and Muslim cultural sensitivity trainings be conducted at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department.
