Klamath River
Water-Quality-Action-Plan
Hearing!!

When: Wed. March 1, 2006 6pm
Where: Red Lion Inn, Eureka

This is a very important opportunity to
come out & speak out
In support of the Klamath River and its fishery dependent communities!

Backround:

Current water quality conditions in the Klamath River are extremely
unhealthy for both fish and humans. Due to various up river activities
that deposit sediment and pollutants into the water, temperatures are
dangerously high, and water levels are too low for salmon and steelhead to
survive.

Purpose:

This meeting will help give an overview of the sources of Klamath River
water quality problems, as well as develop an action plan for bettering
water quality in the Klamath River.

Speak Out:

Members of the public will have the opportunity to present oral and/or
written comments. All comments will be included in the final
administrative record. Demand that the Government's Water Board hold
hearings on the Klamath River where those most affected by the polluted
water can participate!

Who should attend?

Klamath River community members, anyone who loves fish & justice, anyone
who supports the communities that depend on healthy fisheries in the
Klamath River.

Questions for the government about this meeting should be directed to
David Leland, DLeland [at] waterboards.ca.gov, at (707) 576-2069
