Nationwide Immigrant Rights Mobilization to D.C.-Register Now!
On the 10th Anniversary of the Worst Immigration Laws in United States
History
April 24th marks the 10th anniversary of AEDPA (the 1996 Anti-terrorism &
Effective Death Penalty Act)- a sweeping anti-immigrant law passed one year
after Gulf War veteran Timothy McVeigh bombed the Oklahoma City Federal
Building. After September 11th, the government stepped up deportations. In the
last 10 years, 1.4 million people have been deported and thousands of children
have lost a parent. Organizations around the country are organizing a mass
action on the anniversary. Join us on April 24th to commemorate our struggle
and demand our rights!
