Dear CODEPINK LA Activist,
Keep kids' private information safe from aggressive military recruiters!
Assemblywoman Lieber has introduced AB 1778, which would require that a military
recruitment "opt out" be included on students' emergency information card submitted
when they register each year. In individual schools that have adopted this policy
on their own, "opt out" rates have jumped tenfold or more -- indicating that
students and parents will act to protect their privacy if given the chance. AB
1778 is going before the entire California Assembly this week.
