Free Skool Summer Quarter deadline coming up
We want you to teach Free Skool Santa Cruz.
Free Skool Santa Cruz is a completely grassroots effort, a bunch of individuals deciding to act collectively and autonomously to create a skill-sharing network, a school without institutional control.
We want you to teach Free Skool Santa Cruz.
Do you have unique skills and knowledge? Are you willing to share what you know in a non-authoritarian and interactive way? Do you appreciate learning in an informal setting?
If you are willing to learn, teach, or help organize Free Skool, then we’d like you to be part of it. We are all students and we are all teachers.
Here is an incomplete list of classes we hope to see as part of Free Skool Santa Cruz.
· Climbing
· Non-Violent Communication
· Police Interrogations & Grand Juries
· Self-Defense
· Local Plant Identification & Use
· Day Hikes
· Local History
· Wilderness Skills
· Cooking with Local Seasonal Foods
· Food Preservation
· Spanish, English, & Sign-Language
· Lo-tech Beer and Wine-Making
· DIY Medicine
· Music and Dancing
· Practical Security Culture
· Lo-tech orienteering
· Sewing, Weaving, & Spinning
· Radical History
· Permaculture & Gardening
· Direct Action How-To
· Tech & Computer Skills
· Building Things
Summer Quarter runs Jul 1 to Sep 31. The Free Skool Spring Quarter teacher registration deadline is coming up June 10th. We will not accept classes after this date.
If you have a class idea that focuses on self-reliance, community, do-it-yourself culture, and creating a new and beautiful world, propose it to us.
If you are interested in teaching a class or would like to help, contact us soon. Email us, call, or go to the Free Skool Santa Cruz website.
Love,
Free Skool Santa Cruz
