Travel with CODEPINK
August 24-27, 2006

Join us in a retreat at the Crossings in Austin, Texas. Imagine four days of
contemplating peace, creating peace, being peace. Now imagine sharing those days
with the cofounders of CODEPINK; Medea Benjamin, Jodie Evans, Gael Murphy, and over
100 other peace-loving women. This deeply inspiring women's retreat will allow us to
explore the many ways we can create peace, both in
our own lives and in the wider world through art, through action, through community.

PINK LETTERS

The Peninsula CODEPINK chapter has created three more beautiful quilt panels
honoring our San Mateo County fallen soldiers, Andrew Dang and Angelo Zawaydeh, and
the Iraqi women and children under siege. All three will be joining the tour in
Ashland soon.

Also, Peninsula CODEPINK joined with Peace Action, Veterans for Peace, Peninsula
Peace and Justice, and other peaceful protesters to bring awareness of the deaths
due to this illegal war in Iraq by having a presence at the National Cemetery in San
Bruno where Congressman Tom Lantos, a hawkish Democrat who voted for every
appropriation to keep funding this illegal war, was the keynote speaker.

Respectfully submitted,
cindy marcopulos
