What is the money supposed to be used for? Is it for a specific purpose or can Santa Cruz Barrios Unidos do whatever they want with the money? Hopefully this will help the barrio be more united, but I have my doubts. What "Barrio" does Barrios Unidos serve and represent, anyway? I can think of a local group with barely a budget and no paid staff that has done far more to unite the barrio in the last 6 years. Money can be helpful, but dedication to the struggle can not be paid for. I really do hope that this money is put to good use. Thanks for posting this information here and hopefully BU will work harder now to unite our barrios.
